Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

I gotta say HOF is the way to go.. I started out playing the game from scratch with that mode and sucked early I struggled. I could draw walks but couldn't his with RISP it was frustrating, so I went to all star mode and then I found to far to easy.. CPU was throwing more WPs, and hitting seemed easier no matter who I used.

I think I was just rusty hadn't played the show since about October I like to have those few months off from burn out between games..

went back to HOF mode and now I am getting a variety of games. it makes a MASSIVE difference the good pitchers feel like aces and harder to hit, compared to other pitchers. it feels more realistic to me. the games plays wonderful

I feel like all star mode has that comeback script mode built in for you and the CPU.

I am using armor’s sliders for the first time this year as I just switched from using analog hitting and pitching this year to classic and directional and really am enjoying the game but I have a question maybe you guys can help? I am having a problem with bunting , I actually had less problems in past years sacrificing even with the rocket bunts . I have tried a sac bunt 5 times now and all 5 were easy double plays . Is it even more broken now or am I doing something wrong ? I use the right stick to select direction and then just use triangle right ?? Thanks in advance

Wait hit the pitcher is just ready to release ball before you square. The corners won’t crash so you should be able to sacrifice

Ok thanks will try that but it’s a bunt situation and the corners are already in expecting a bunt so not sure if that will help or not ? But thanks for the quick reply ! I will try

I had the same problem last year and when you square when the ball os coming out of pitchers hand they don’t crash

Absolutely having a blast with these sliders. Was excited for opening day in my Phillies franchise and then this happened in the second inning

You know I really want to but I think I’m going to roll with it. Gives me an intriguing storyline to start the year.

Started the year 6-0 with the Yankees. Up early after a Gardner 3 run homerun against Baltimore in game 7.

My issue now is I’m so anxious to hit with the big name guys that I swing at awful pitches. Need to be more patient. This team is a juggernaut when they are all healthy!

Decided to run with the Tigers for a bit, at least until my mental well being can't take it any more. Holy mother of God, we're bad. My timing is getting better, so I'm starting to generate more hits, but since this game is so ratings-driven I'm still struggling offensively. Which is how it should be, but man...Blew a 3-0 lead to lose 6-3 against the Yanks just now because our defense and bullpen are laughably bad, but it was an amazing game.

There's pretty much no shot that we're going to make the playoffs, but I'd like to try to play out every pitch this entire season and see how it goes. I may end up in a dark place psychologically, but I think it'll be interesting.

You’re right. However I am going to roll with it. Nick Williams will be my everyday right fielder for now. We will have to weather the storm until late June when he returns

That is funny. Testing the sliders and playing random games I played the Phillies and Harper got hurt for 2 months as well.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

call me crazy but I played every single opening day game and a couple of day 2 games so far... plus the As and Ms first 2 games. it's a good way to test sliders different teams different stadiums etc but I only control the hitting. it's a good way to test sliders for hitting only and scripted gameplay. and I try and win with whichever team I am using. it's very fun and knowing I controlled every single at bat and every stat so far in a season at the end of the innings I switch the controller back over to the team hitting. also if the CPU is dumb and leaves in Relief pitchers to long or I feel they are making a stupid mistake I make the move myself. they seem to be real good not pulling starters early this year though, the issue is with relief pitching. they have no idea how to handle a BP. and I have see them choose the same guy 3 days in a row instead of a fresh arm in the setup position just because setup guys are only for the 8th innings for the A1 I don't think the CPU will ever understand how to use the BP.

it seems that Detroit has gone crazy hitting got about 32 hits with them they won game 1 11-9 and game 2 7-1 . in 2 games!! out of all the teams.

and the As have been shutout the last 2 days. this tells me right here that their is variety in the game completely and it's great to see. that is baseball.
