12 games in and one thing I might be seeing is a low amount of user pitching strikeouts. Anyone else noticed or seeing this, or just me?

Through 8 innings JA Happ has 1 K and I haven't had too many pitching strikeouts in many games so far now that I think about it.

The devs did mention the greater impact of contact hitters this year, so maybe that could be reducing strikeouts?

No I am seeing opposite, as a hitter I rarely strike out. I think I get a realistic amount of K's as a pitcher. I actually think pitching is too easy, but this is not specific to just MLB 19.

I noticed this on HoF pitching. I dropped to all star and im not seeing it to be an issue

I am striking out hitters on HOF. It all boils down to getting a 20-25 game sample size...and seeing if HOF is for you or do you need to step down to All-Star and tweak the sliders for a little more difficulty on All-Star to make it more of an All-Star +

Also using dynamic difficulty....then locking it in where you stay consistently will work.

I have never had to use Dynamic difficulty. Once I outgrew AS...I moved up to HOF on 17 and eventually got the feel and hang of hit both hitting and pitching. There is only one more level to move for me....if I ever move up to Legend. Time will tell. LOL.

Strikeouts on both sides pitching and hitting has alot to do with user ability and not a slider issue. Everyone will get different results with strikeouts.

When pitching if you set the CPU up and us all your pitches you will be able to get strikeouts.

When hitting it's all about the pitch speed. On default I'm striking out 7-10 times a game. Bit I am also hitting bombs and scoring runs so om loving it.

If you go down to all star pitching what sliders do you recommend changing? Do you raise cpu contact, power, solid hits or do you mostly change human pitcher control and consistency?

First time using these, and boy oh boy! One game I had was a pitcher duel, second was me striking out like it was going out of style, and my last game had so much offense from both sides I jumped out my seat. Thank you for these.

Um, wow. I've been playing The Show for 4-5 years and never came across this before. I have to admit that the idea of users sharing their sliders seemed silly to me.

Boy was I wrong. I just played my first full game after practicing a bit with these sliders, and it's like a whole new game mode has suddenly opened up.

                        Thank you!!!

Hey armour, curious if these sliders are compatible using quick counts or not? Appreciate the set and want to use them for my franchise.

Just fired up The Show 19 for a Dodgers franchise last night after work. Been using your sliders for the past few years and this year is no different. Opening Day brought a victory for Kershaw and the boys in blue as we defeated the DBacks 3-1. I was down 1-0 after Nick Ahmed hit a solo shot to straightaway center, but a few innings later Cody Bellinger hit a two run moon shot to right fies to go up 2-1. Max Muncy later pinch hit a solo shot to right and the DBacks couldn’t answer back. Started to play game 2 of the 4 game series this morning, but had to save because it was time to get ready for work [emoji52] Currently up 2-0 going in the bottom of the 8th. Walker Buehler pitched a gem only allowing 2 hits and striking out 9. Max Muncy hit a solo shot to right and Kike Hernandez had an RBI double. Really liking the gameplay this year!! Especially the defense!!

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

Armor - thoughts on changing baserunning speed up to maybe 6-7 and increase arm strength as well?

Slow runners will still be slow, especially in comparison, but I think faster runners bang into DPs too easily even in scenarios where the commentators themselves say it's going to be hard to turn two. If Billy Hamilton hits a regular grounder to short, he is probably beating the return throw to 1B.

In MLBTS, he is out most of the time. Granted by half a step, but he needs to be safe more often than not.
I also see a lot of balls go into the gap, and the OF throws all the way through to 2B and the runner is JUST getting there. Standup doubles need to be more common and this will help with that.

I turned up arm strength and you see some lasers from guys who have cannons, especially in the OF. Aaron Judge has had a few plays at Yankee Stadium, where he throws to 2B on a line from the short porch. This needs to be possible.

Increasing arm strength AND baserunning speed to help balance this out, I think is something we should test.

I currently have arm strength at 6 and and runner speed at 7 and enjoying it.
