Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
Going to have to think it through. ARB eligible players are a different animal.
All depends on what team, short and long term outlooks and plans, contenders etc. So like I said a ton of storylines can happen depending on if a player is willing to resign or wants to to test free agency...and then you have the players under team control...and deadline decisions as well.
All kinds of possibilities.
I will update what methods I amy employ in regards to the other 29 teams as well as my own.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
Perhaps a bit off topic but it might be interesting.
I'm still playing my carryover franchise with the '96 Yankees, so this means with your '18 sliders.
Played many games on 19 and it plays fine. Had to tone down power a bit cause i was winning too many games.
I use your '18 sliders in 19 with play now games as well, and it is a world of difference.
The fastball seems much faster, and i have a lot of trouble hitting the ball.
Pitching also seems more difficult.
Could the sliders work different for carryover franchise files compared to play now games?
Or do my 96 Yankees simply have players with very good stats?
Just wondering where this difference may come from.Comment

The 96 Yankees are a powerhouse. I ha e played that season before and won 107 games.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
After struggling on HOF hitting I dropped it back to all star which is what I played on last year. Played a spring game, Red Sox /Mets. Left pitching on HOF but went back to meter, just like the feel better. Eduardo Rodriguez got shelled in the top of the 1st for 5 runs including a grand slam. I was able to chip away throughout the middle innings to make it a one run game late. Bottom of the 8th with a man on, pitcher hangs a breaking ball and JD Martinez didn’t miss, missile over the left field wall to make it 6-5 Sox. 9th inning I was able to hold them off and hold on for the win. Even if I had lost this game it just felt so intriguing and fit my skill better. My goal is to eventually be on HOF hitting but I’m just not there yet. I play with quick counts on so idk if that is affecting my results on HOF hitting or not. But even good timing I was getting 2-4 hits per game max.

I used quick counts the past two seasons, but after playing every pitch this year I don’t see myself going back.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
Hello Guys new to the forum. Haven’t played The Show in about 2 an a half years. It looks awesome and plays awesome. So I had the pleasure of inputting all the settings here but I have one question which may seem really stupid. Please excuse me in advance. But should the dynamic settings be set to on or would that just be considered a default setting? Especially for someone like me who is attempting to get up to speed? By the way Amor. Excellent sliders. An lastly my game rosters haven’t seem to update since I installed the game am I doing something wrong. So sorry guys but reading some of the questions and comments right here shows you guys are all highly informed. Thanks for all replies! An play ball!Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
I’d recommend playing without quick counts. You’ll see more pitches and once you start learning to work the count in your favor you’ll see better pitches to hit.

I was going to try without quick counts but the games take so much longer. I like the pace with quick counts and that I can get deeper into my season. If I had the time to play full games I would definitely try.

I was afraid of this lol.
I much prefer to do QC in the interest of time, but the overwhelming feedback seems to be in favor of NOT using it.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
Once you play every pitch you qont go back to quick counts. It's so much harder to hit on quick counts. Expressional I on 19 you have to be super patient and work the count's to hit good in this game and you cant do that on quick counts.

I tried using QC's and there is just way too many at bats that you have no chance to hit with.
The key to hitting the ball hard in this game is working the counts and getting ahead of the pitcher.
With QC's on there is nothing worse that getting a rally going then at a key at bat your guys comes up with an 0-2 QC.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment
