Agreed. However to be fair, I have noticed that hitters are coming up with 0-2 counts far less frequently this year.

The absolute worst is when a new pitcher is in, and you start 0-2 without being able to even see a pitch first.

Yeah I would just strongly advise to anyone to not play with quick counts. You aren't getting (even close to) the most out of the game and if you are just worried about getting it over with and moving on to the end result, then this slider set might not be for you.

If I played with quick counts I'd use a different slider set that made hitting easier. I'm not sure if it exists but I'd check the forums for a set that is specifically for quick counts.

Good lord I’m awful with curves. The CPU pitcher could roll the ball to me and I’d still swing and miss.

But should the dynamic settings be set to on or would that just be considered a default setting? Especially for someone like me who is attempting to get up to speed? By the way Amor. Excellent sliders. An lastly my game rosters haven’t seem to update since I installed the game am I doing something wrong. So sorry guys but reading some of the questions and comments right here shows you guys are all highly informed. Thanks for all replies! An play ball!

Welcome back to the Show and welcome to the forum! Dynamic difficulty actually isn’t a bad place for you to start. It’ll let you get a good feel for the game, then when you reach a level you’re happy with you can lock that in and roll with it all season.
If you scroll through the menus to Data Utility you can save the live rosters from there, although if you’re connected online it should tell you there’s an update. Last one to my knowledge was 4/4 or 5 and I think someone said they release the updates every Thursday.
Lots of knowledgeable and veteran Show people on here so never hesitate to ask questions.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

I may as well jump in on this seeing I played all year with QC on 18 using Armors Sliders. QC are just a tool that SDS give us to make the game a bit quicker. I was time poor last year due to a personal issue and QC were a godsend that allowed me to halve my gaming time but still have the same enjoyment. Of course Armors sliders played beautifully and are close enough to Default so no need for a different slider set. I played on All Star as well so the slider set is very flexible. The only thing I lowered was Foul Frequency for both HUM/CPU. Im back playing Full Counts ATM this year and can confirm QC didn’t ruin my hitting. A lot of the Counts start at 1-1 and for me I’m not swinging unless it’s down the middle. I actually drew more walks than ever. It also helped nerf my pitching a bit by putting me behind in more counts. The more I think about it I might give it another try this year........

Does it bother anyone else that when you use QC, it doesn't seem to affect the pitcher's pitch count?

Like a new reliever could come in to start a new inning, and you're at an 0-2 count, but the pitchers pitch count is at 0.

I know it probably doesn't affect anything really. Does it matter to the pitching stamina, and how long he'll stay in the game?

Not sure why it bothers me so much, but it does. lol

Trying to get accurate pitch counts and strike percentages used to drive me insane! You very quickly get used to not worrying about it which added to my enjoyment last year. Although I do note this year using All STAR full counts the pitch counts and strike percentages are much improved and may tempt me back to full counts.

Absolutely, I feel so foolish as my eyes light up tracking a pitch down the pipe the poof, it’s out of the strike zone. Rips my heart out.

Have you guys thought about using a offset camera or heaven forbid using camera shift which in effect gives a offset view to the camera you are using? I find with a slightly side on view you can see the curve rising out of the pitchers hand.

I’ve messed around with almost all hitting views except the ones from behind the pitcher.
I think I may need to swallow my pride and drop down to all star for a little while. Funny thing is I was hitting just fine until yesterday’s patch. Not sure if it’s a coincidence or I’m just in a funk right now.

I have used quick counts since it started but this year I’m doing full counts. I love the extra presentation you get and seeing the pitch counts on the score bug. But these sliders will work on this set just fine.

All I want is for my Dodgers to win a title again I was 10 last time it happened. So I have set off on my journey with these sliders in hand. Through 3 games the pitching has had the advantage on both sides. I have taken the first 3 from the Dbacks but all close games. Loving it so far. First post ever but long time reader and supporter. Thanks.
