Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
Are we punished for going against the catchers pitch call? I pitch from broadcast and with certain pitchers who are tall I.e Andrew Miller it can be difficult to see the pitch calls. This often leads me to use my own sequence which may or may not contradict the catcher call. As far as I can tell there doesn’t seem to be a difference in result based on what is called vs what is actually thrown. Anybody got any theories on this? I use 100 percent clean screen btw

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
A weird question but I was playing yesterday and I had a early 9-0 lead so I took out my regulars and emptied my bench so the regulars can have a break. The question is... has anyone ever have a injury at that point when there are no bench players? Obviously you would have to have a pitcher play the field (which would be scary in this game). But just wondering if anybody seen this happen or does the coding in the game turn off injuries at that point?Follow me on Twitch

When I have this issue I just switch the pitching camera angle. Usually I go with the outfield view. It’s a little off centered and zoomed in a little closer than what most broadcast views give us, but I can see the plate and my catcher this way. I know certain stadiums with that perfectly centered broadcast cam makes it tough to see.

I usually don’t follow my catcher. With so many division games I’ve got an idea how I want to attack certain hitters. If I start having control issues or if I’m getting hit around then I’ll use my catcher as a guide to get back on track. I’ve had pretty good results this year doing it this way.

With power being moved to 6 is anyone putting timing back to default? Lack of power (and user strikeouts) are really the only issues I’m having.
I never want to give myself an unfair advantage over the CPU.

Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

I've noticed some questions about roster moves with 30 team control. I checked and most teams in my franchise don't have their 40 man roster full. Do I need to do this for them or will the CPU do it eventually?Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
I hate when I make slider changes, play one game, and have crazy result. Sample size is key, obviously, but I don’t think it takes 30-40 games to really tell what’s happening.
I haven’t got more than two home tuna in a game in my first 30 games. Moved power to 6 and... bam... six bombs. Haha.
I wish there was a way to go back and see what the results would be with the power slider set to 5. I often wonder how much difference sliders make (especially just one click), but I think it can be significant.
I’m like Armor in that I want to stay as close to default as possible. For me with power and timing both at six I think I’ll end up having to bump one of those two down.
Also, I think it’s only a matter of time before you have to put CPU solid hits back at default. I’m playing with it there and dealing. One of the lowest ERA’s in the league, I can’t imagine having it a notch lower.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
So should I add them for each team? Is there a certain time that I should? I'm about 30 games in. Sorry if it's a dumb question. I haven't played The Show since 13.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
I actually messed around with reducing the timing to as low as 3 (for sh**ts and giggles). I found when I'm hitting that I hit more shots to the power alley (probably because I'm old and slow), I use zone analog and can't hit homers with power swing. Normal swing I'm good with more balance.Steelers, Penguins, Penn State, Pirates, Red Sox, Manchester United.Comment
