I was trying so hard on every pitch to get out of a batting slump that I completely lost my timing and struck out 27 times over 2 games. It's like I've forgotten how to hit and have fun playing the game. No slider adjustments here just need a self adjustment. It's crazy how the Show can humble oneself with the valleys of a long baseball season.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

I am all set for season 2 to officially begin . Made some big moves today and my team on paper definitely looks like it can compete . With the Brewers losing Josh Hader to Boston they are in need of a top closer and they came to me with a offer of Brandon Woodruff and Corey Knebel for Ken Giles . After some thinking things through this was a no brainer and good trade for both clubs. But I was really set on brining in one of my favourite pitchers to Toronto , so I then flipped Woodruff to the Braves in exchange for Julio Teheran
Starting pitching now looks solid enough with Aaron Sanchez , Jake Odorizzi , Julio Teheran, Trent Thornton and in the 5th spot im going to stick with the promising Sean Reid-Foley .
So we needed to focus on the bullpen and our relievers , Tim Mayza and Derek Law weren't cutting it . Knebel is a brilliant addition but isn't alone enough , so we went shopping around . The white Sox signed Will Smith in free agency and still have Alex Colome , and in the 1st season they made a trade for Jose Leclerc . Leclerc is a savage and with them having 2 elite closers already I went ahead and traded Tim Mayza , Jonathan Davis , and Thomas Pannone for Leclerc . Losing Giles sucks , I really like him but he is most likely going to be traded in real life and these moves all make sense and take us in the right direction . I'm so Psyched for this season I just can't wait to play my 1st game tmr

For sure , 84 rated and 88 rated currently with the ecstatic morale boost . Only problem is with his control and he can get wild at times . It's gonna be a blast pitching with him and Knebel

I'm on HOF now with cpu contact and solid hits at 6 with a team era of 2.88.

Thats a great ERA... but for me, its not working out quite well classic pitching on HOF. I had to demote myself to All Star... I felt it was imposible to get good starts from my starters. After 20 games or so all of my starters gave an average of 6-7 runs per start, the CPU would make INCREDIBLE CONTACT ON EVERYTHING it wouldn’t matter if the pitch was in the dirt or WAY outside, they would make some kind of contact, that would result in some sort of weak hit, slow rollers for a hit. Then when it was time to get to the corners I would meat a pitch for a 3 run HR... etc. It was just plain imposible.

bullpen experience was good for the most part. Directional Button Hitting on HOF its good can’t complaint.

              So right now im playing:
              Pitching buttons All Star
              Hitting Buttons HOF
              Armor & Sword Sliders.

Have any of you experienced the same?

This was just a nice hot streak for my pitching staff through 24 games. Over the next 20 games my team ERA rose to 4.10. I suggest staying on HOF and riding the waves. You'll get hot and it will even out.

It's been my experience. But it takes a lot of perseverance to get through slumps. I have demoted and promoted myself in skill level several times. But if you can stand to suffer through a slump you will come out better on the other side. Ultimately do what's right for you and what's fun. It's a game and it ought to be fun. I've gone through periods trying to play like someone else recommended and I sucked so bad it was no longer fun.

Yeah u should really stick with HOF pitching and ride it out . I 1st started out with All star pitching and midway thru the 1st season I had to restart cus I was leading the league in all pitching stats with the Jays! Just my 2 cents

Just threw a 98 pitch complete game shutout with Gerrit Cole against the Marlins. 4 hits allowed and 10 strikeouts. 6-0 victory. Boy did I need a dominant start like that.

Considering your plight with pitching this season it had to feel so good. Right now I'm dying to break out of a team wide batting slump. Through 24 games was at .271 and now at 48 games I'm at .237.

I fired up the show for the first time in about 2 months and man, I forgot how great this game is. After playing through madden patch after patch this year I swear I’ll never complain about The Show ever again.
