With classic they say it is completely ratings based and the dice roll. But it also depends on how long you press the button and release. So that technically is user based in a way, right?
All hitting and all pitching interfaces are a mix of rating/skill base. The game actually does a really good job balancing it as it does not favor only side of that equation. It's similar to how NBA 2K handles free throws when set to 'user.' Yes, your input matters, but so does the quality of the player (more so).

To me, meter is the most realistic. Pulse is too easy, and with the adjustments to the sliders to make pitching harder, I personally would not trust classic. Some are using it with success, so it just depends what you're getting out of it.

I can answer nearly every question in this thread by simply asking, "What's your output?" That's what matters. The rest is just noise, placebo, etc.

Just generally speaking--as not every game needs to be like this--but that looks about perfect.

I'm not seeing it that badly, no. It's something I am keeping an eye on. This year I wanted to start with potentially too many Ks versus trying to play catch-up all year.

My Tigers are now 2-1 after losing their home opener in extra innings to the Royals 2-1 last night. Daniel Norris threw 7 scoreless innings striking out (I think?) 7 batters.

I'm not really seeing too many K's, I have 74 through 9 games with the Braves (9th in the league). I just get a lotttt of first pitch outs so I end up with 50-60 pitches by the time I reach the 6th inning. So it just ends up with my pitchers, especially starters, being absolutely dominant. I don't think I've had a starter give up more than 2 runs yet

You can try and increase CPU timing. What is your 1st pitch strike % looking like most games?

I’m pitching on legend with meter. But the meter is so big and it is easy. Mike’s streams the meter is small and looks harder. How do I make it smaller or harder?

That's just pitcher confidence. It's a bit rare. You can turn it off entirely if you'd like.

I noticed that the timer gets bigger the better my pitcher does. But is the meter supposed to be this big on legend?

Timer only changes for pitcher's windup duration. Confidence increases the size of the sweet spot.

One way to make the actual meter smaller is to go to options then camera. For pitching cam, create a custom camera and adjust the meter size.

Only downside is if you like the variety of broadcast cams, you will have to settle on one angle.

A few changes I'm testing right now if anyone's wanting to try:

                        Human Foul Frequency 0 (-2)
                        Human Solid Hits 3 (+1)
                        Human Pitcher Consistency 1 (-1)

                        CPU Solid Hits 2 (+1)
                        CPU Pitcher Consistency 5 (-1)

I've played 10 games with these sliders. I'm 6-4 with my cubs franchise. I've have some epic games with these so far. The only 2 stats that jump out are batting average (.225) and strikeouts (59). Keep in mind, I play with directional hitting and classic pitching. I don't think I'm going to change anything now, because I know how this game plays, cold and hot streaks.

Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to Mike. This is a pretty great set!!!

Well, my second game with these sliders I got blown out by the A's 16-3. They had 9 HR's and 21 hits. Starter was JA Happ and he only lasted one inning. Luis Cessa came in and pitched 3 innings and gave up 8 runs. Happ had given up 5 runs. Part of the issue was I was missing my spots and balls were getting crushed. It didn't help the wind was blowing out to left at 10 MPH.
