Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders
Do you guys prefer meter or classic pitching? I like classic because it looks the best visually and better represents pitcher rating, but I like meter because I like to have some input to the outcome of the pitch instead of it being so random.Comment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders
I reverted to manually entering in some injuries for guys who are on pace to throw a high number of innings. I’ll place those guys on the 15 day IL and call up someone for them. Otherwise they’d call up a position player and roll with 10/11 bullpen arms. It’s a little annoying and time consuming but I’d rather that than have bp arms making 90+ appearances with 110+ IPComment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders
I’m a meter pitcher / directional hitter. Always struggled to find a slider set that I didn’t either get destroyed or win all of the time. Started my franchise with the Blue Jays and went 21-8 with the top numbers in HR, R, H and average on offence. Top 3 in ERA and runs against. It was too easy. I swept the Red Sox and Yankees back to back and I normally wouldn’t allow more than 3 runs a game.
Decided to switch to these sliders for a month and see how it goes. I’ve only played one game, against Baltimore so far but It was one of the more exciting games so far
I went up 3-0 after the first two innings and thought nothing had changed. Velazquez settled in though and I didn’t score another run. Borucki got into trouble in the 5th but was able to get out of the inning only allowing 2 runs and qualifying for the win. The game remained at 3-2 as Font and Pannone held onto the lead.
Giles game in for the 9th. Before this game he hadn’t allowed a run and was 13/13 in saves. Walked the first two batters. Struck out Hayes. Severino grounded time Bichette who misplayed a for sure double play and was charged with an error. Next batter Ruiz hit a grand slam and went up 6-3 in the 9th. That was it. The Jays had 6 hits to Baltimore’s 5. Overall the game played very well. Will report back after I have around a month of games.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders
Mike, as always the sliders are amazing and in my mind, change the game and makes me 100% comfortable buying it.
Do you suggest using these sliders for online play? I have them in my custom league now but hitting seems to be an issue, any particular reason this might be?Comment

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders
Has anyone tried these with directional hitting and classic pitching with a clean screen approach? If so what adjustments did you make if any?

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders
Hey Mike these are the sliders that I been using for my franchise and having a blast.
There’s just few things that I had to personally fix to fit my play style.
But I wasn’t striking out enough so I’m tinkering with lower contact for me, zero timing window and a few ticks added to the velocity of the fastball and breaking pitches.
In standard legend without pci I still feel is too hard to strikeout as a hitter and my team average is a little too high. I’m also first in Homerun with the Braves by almost 10 HR and trying hard to sort that part out as well.Comment
