Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show 20 Sliders

All is well, I'm just enjoying doing other things. I'm tired of bad games, and most sport titles are these days. Time to move on.

I posted more details on the SSG Discord. Sorry to be brief, but the whole idea is to spend time doing other things that are a better use of the time.

And I haven't missed any of these games--feels great

With MLB starting up soon (and likely shutting down 2-3 weeks later), I wanted to get an update out for people. Small changes for v2.0. Also brought June and July trade frequency up +1.

Playing here and there, but those were changes I had from earlier that I wanted to get out.

The state of franchise gaming is bad. It's simply not worth my time, be it The Show, Madden, etc.

It's a shame, but that's the state of things.

Really starting to feel the same way. Ditched NHL and Madden a couple years back. Was going to pass on this version of the Show but got sucked in by the pre release live streams supposedly “fixing” some things that had bugged me for a long time. This is the last version I will buy for sure. Being 52 years old growing up with hand held electronic blips of light through Atari through what we have now I do appreciate the overall evolution. But the direction of sports gaming in general and the constant patches this year specifically IMHO have degraded the game (to my tastes) and I am just about to shelve this as well.

I have followed your stuff every year and I appreciate all the work you’ve done to improve the experience.

Thanks! The ironic part is that I live 15 mins away from SDS. It took them how long to reach out to Ridin? I'd feel used if that were me. Franchise supporters are being neglected, and I'm just over it.

I personally haven't done so YET, but this might be one of the reasons so many off-line players are running as fast as they can to Bacon's fictional roster.

It's essentially plug and play & allows you to deign your own baseball universe without worrying about real players/realistic transactions etc.

Essentially, its pick a team and go....no 30 team control - no tweaking cpu rosters/lineups/call-ups etc.

I never worried about that stuff. The rosters were never an issue for me, and I never follow real life as the fun was in creating your own universe. Following real life made no sense to me; Just watch real life if that's what you like. Replaying it seemed a cheap imitation to me.

The issue is that thess games lack depth. Gameplay only goes so far for me--it's just the pretty face, when I want the entire package.

Where I'm at now from v2.0 is I've lowered Human Power from 5 to 4, and have Human contact at 6.

On the original post you said, "strike ratio down to 0 when facing a knuckleballer". Does that mean "CPU Strike Frequency" slider?

Been a directional/classic guy for years. Decided to give these a go last night and it was one of the best games I’ve ever had. Lost to the Twins 4-2 and I had a blast. Never felt cheated by the game and never felt like the computer just couldn’t beat me. Gonna be playing many more with these settings and sliders
