Armor, I was wondering why don't you create sliders to try and match real life mlb stats? Is it because you don't believe it is possible or just too much work?

This is baseball game, not an excel spreadsheet. It's about creating a baseline environment where player ratings play out within the realm of believability. From there, it is up to those ratings and the "baseball gods" to determine how the stats shake out.

I haven’t contributed to the forums really at all for this year’s title, having only played about seven games in total so far.

What I do want to say though, as many may have figured out in this thread, is this is the first version that plays very well out of the box compared to that of the other years.

Does it need tweaking? Of course. Not as many extreme ends as we needed to do, though. This is especially true of the fielder speed and reaction sliders.

So I’ve actually switched to pulse pitching for the first time since I started using Armor’s set about 2014.

For some reason classic pitching is not working for me this year. Normally I can find a groove with it and make it work, but this year it seems to be gone for me. Everything is either overthrown or underthrown, and I can’t even get close to hitting my spots. It’s incredibly frustrating.

Might give metered a try, since it’s more similar to classic than pulse is.

I love this game and these sliders. I can’t wait for Ridin rosters to be available. I track all the stats on a excel spreadsheet to keep track of everything. But that is a lot of work but I keep track of stuff like BABIP and hit percentages. Every game I log all my players stats. I track their stats from the last 10 games to see who is hot or cold. But I’m debating if that is a waste of time.

Hey Armor just wanted to say thanks for sliders! I just played a Spring Training game on my carryover Marlins franchise with your sliders from last year (w/ a little personal tweak) and they worked great!

How's everyone's strikeout totals? I'm second to last in the league and averaging about 5 strikeouts against the CPU a game.

Playing with the Reds and been getting between 8-12 per game. The staff is pretty solid which doesn’t hurt. That said, I’ve noticed if you set up the batters, they will chase some nasty stuff in the dirt and off the plate. Also get a good amount of backward K’s when I hit a good spot.

So I ended up putting human pitcher consistency to 6 (from 5), and see a marked improvement in accuracy and the ability to hit my spots. Sticking with classic pitching for now.

I'm sure a big part of my issue is that the Cubs rotation and bullpen overall sucks. My highest rated pitcher is Kyle Hendricks at an 85 overall. And he's not really known as a strikeout guy. Most all of my bullpen is in the 70's.

Hey man. About to start my own Cubs Franchise tonight as soon as the Ridin Rosters drop. I'll be posting weekly recaps for the Cubbies, so I'm sure we'll be able to compare stats and see if maybe it is the low end rotation and unappealing bullpen.

Really excited to figure out what direction to push this franchise with so many contracts needing to be extended? Do the Cubs try to push one more time if they are in a favorable position near the deadline, or does the team fall apart and guys like Bryant, Contreras, and Quintana are all dealt as they look to retool for a couple years down the road? Is there a hybrid plan in place to move maybe just Bryant for a high end pitcher or a couple prospects to try to accelerate that process? We will find out, and I can't wait to see how the team pushes the chosen narrative.

I'm planning on posting updates to my franchise as well, I'm just trying my best to accept that my offense is ridiculous right now and my pitching is on the opposite end of the spectrum and just plain awful.
