Hey my man. Hang in there. You will land a PS5 before year end. I am 99.99% sure of that.
I got very lucky. But they will be available to the masses like they should soon. Supply chains are a mess due to the world pandemic. That is the real reason. I did a lot of digging on the subject and it is a mess right now. And it is no ones fault. However.....I don’t think Sony handled the roll out well at all and retailers are as guilty as anyone from preventing bots and scalpers scooping up inventory. And it is not just video game consoles. Ebay sellers and what not are cornering the market on specialty items and collectables. It has gotten out of control.
Anyway.....right there with you on the state of sports games.
The bright side is we have MLB 20 to keep us totally content for as long as we need it. And I am strapping in for a potentially long run with this game.
I have almost no faith we are going to see the trend change for the better on the new generation of consoles. And it is such a shame.
So **** em.
Thank you for the games you already gave me.....they will suit me just fine thank you very much.
And I know this might sound crass and shocking coming from me as a long time SDS supporter.....and I don’t think the development team is doing this because they want to. It is because they have too.
It pays the bills.
The days of offline franchise players on AAA sports games is closing. The window on development, improvements, and AI innovation is dead.
Again....it is what it is and we had been seeing the writing on the wall and it finally has arrived. And many may disagree with me...but this year’s release reeks of them moving on.
So happy I passed on the game. Elated actually.
I having so much fun with 20...so who needs 21? Nothing there for me that I don’t already have in 20.
