Remember I had been arguing with people for years on here who would just say “who cares let dd play the way they do and spend money on whatever they want it’s business it doesn’t effect you “

You see now why it does effect us?? Sitting down and saying who cares is. Terrible attitude because it just keeps continuing the way it is and gets worse look at madden madden 13 killed that franchise. When they brought in cfm mode Now mlb 21 is heading that way

I know Armor isn't getting MLB 21 but is anyone using these in MLB 21 for PS5? I'm going to plug them in and I'd assume they'll be pretty good. I've noticed that the timing window seems to be much smaller this year for hitting. That's one area I may have to make an adjustment for.

I've been using them and they seem just fine. The stamina increase and fielder speed are definitely needed. I use Armors sliders except I increased throwing errors for both teams one notch and these seem spot on. I have noticed I don't hit quite as well so you must be correct about the timing window because I have struggled some with hitting compared to 20. I've switched to dynamic and that has helped.

Hey, Armor....where can I find these franchise sponsorships at to buy? Looking and there aren't very many up to buy. For Reds you have 1,500/HR as a silver sponsor and I don't see it anywhere to buy.

Are these in card packs as well to get? Or is the community market the only option? If so, is there anyone here willing to place theirs on the market they aren't using so I can buy?

I have MLB 21 on PS5, the sliders seem to be holding up fine so far to me as Armor thought they would. How many games have you played so far? I had a hard time hitting the first two games or so too, then I played a game as Arizona vs the Rockies and Jon Gray where I won 9-3, it might be a bit soon to start making slider changes.

Community market and packs. So just give it some time....build up stubs which you used to be able to in franchise using custom sliders.

@armor i think you mentioned you were not moving to MLB21 for now. I don’t want to hijack your thread but do you mind if some using your ‘20 sliders in ‘21 post their feedback here ?

Since the gameplay didn’t change much, I’m expecting your latest version from last year to perform pretty accurately this year as well.

Best bet is to build up stubs and buy them on the community market. No guarantee you pull them in packs.

Thank you Armor for creating your best slider set yet last year. I did move on too MLB 21 tbh. But you were able to give me the MLB simulation that I wanted. Even though we didnt win it with the Redsox in 20 it was still a fun ride. You don't get enough credit

First. I truly appreciate the kind words. We have a great group inside this thread and I have always loved sharing settings and franchises, knowledge, stories...the whole gambit with all of you.

I would not even waste my time testing MLB 21 because I have zero....and I mean zero desire to play or support the game.

I am pretty much moving on from SDS until I see a re-comittment to offline simulation players. They have clearly jumped the shark from us...the pioneer players of this once great series to go on the Diamond Dynasty/Esports bandwagon. And I get it. I understand this is a business and the trend is your friend.

But just because I understand it....does not mean I have to sugar coat it, support it, or like it.

I think this entire release has reeked of horse***t. From the removal of Y2Y saves to SOTS to now.....you do not even earn XP if you play with custom sliders?

Remember the whole "you do not have to play DD or online or buy stubs to earn stubs or to earn packs?"

Gone.....like a fart in the wind. They are fully monetizing the game and trying to force offline franchise players to either go along.....or simply get out. They simply have moved on from us.

Fine.....I have too.

We have a game here in MLB 20 that will IMO stand the test of time throughout the entire PS5 cycle. Mark that down and mark my words....you will get far more joy playing MLB 20 on a new gen console (PS5) than any future release of this series from this point forward on the PS5.

I simply see no commitment to improve franchise mode, bring back Y2Y, bring back SOTS.

Once this game went multi platform.....that was it. We lost that exclusivity that allowed them to deliver genre defining features like Year to Year franchise and RTTS saves and Sounds of the Show.

It is gone.

I am not wasting my time playing a game I have no heart or desire to play. So I appreciate the gesture to get me a copy.....but money is of absolutely no concern to me (remember I used to give away copies every cycle for “What does baseball mean to you” because I loved this game and wanted to give back). I can simply get this game at the end of the year for $5 or free on PSN just to see how it really has gone.

Last nights DD stream was so very telling. It went a freaking hour. The glee and bravado of unveiling that mode was gross.

I have no qualms with those that love playing DD. I get it. And it is kinda fun here and there and I love collecting the cards.

But I cannot even collect anymore because I play franchise mode with custom sliders. That is how I earned all my progress, XP and packs and cards.

NO MORE!!!! FU offline franchise player.....you must fit into this box now.

What a joke.

They lost me......permanently. And it is truly on principle as being a true “old school” pioneer video gamer.

I started playing video games on the first consoles ever made. I am that late 70’s early 80’s kid who helped support this industry and now? Screw them.

They are fired from my video game life. They gave me 15 years of bliss....I thank them whole heartedly for it.

I have everything I can ever want on MLB 20.

I’ve just starting following this thread since the release of 21 and I honestly find it therapeutic! I agree with everything u said, it’s truly the end of an era and I highly doubt we will ever see SOTS or perhaps even Y2Y again. I have the ps5 and ps4 versions of 21 and I just think 20 is the better game. Hitting just feels satisfying in 20, might be the bat sounds but something is just off in 21

This thread along with the historical rosters thread (here and Facebook) keep me somewhat grounded though I am so close to the ledge.

I have grumbled to myself and on threads for a few years now about how we veteran gamers have been squeezed out. I enjoy Madden somewhat, but goodness what a shell of the game of football it has become. I always had the Show though, but that is coming to an end. Making more money has overcome the desire of making an icon experience for the masses.

The perfect storm of disgruntlement is happening for me right now. Not only are the newest versions of sports games heading the wrong direction in my opinion, but the whole next generation system shortage is driving me to give up on any hope for a future in gaming, except for continuing with what I have now.

I cannot land a PS5. I follow every Twitter notification available but new stock is only coming available in the middle of the week during the middle of a workday and I just can't always be available. Wednesday I had a unit in the cart but it took me a minute to retrieve my Walmart password; one minute two late. Crazy.

First world problem of privilege, I know, but gaming is very special for me and I need it for my mental health. But I feel that the gaming world is leaving me behind and it's quite sad.
