So after trying to tweak and tweak I still can’t hit the ball worth a flip. I’ve got power and contact at 5, timing at 7, and solid hits at 5.

I just can’t seem to judge what is being thrown and time it up properly. I use the show 15 camera but honestly any advice is welcome.

I sport one of the best pitching staffs ERA, HA, K ally top 5 in the league but sit at 17-16 because I’m lucky to score more than 2 runs a game.

Trust Armour’s sliders and keep playing. Even great hitting teams in real life can go in hitting slumps for several games. Embrace the challenge/losses - if you are like me, I would also be concerned if I was hitting too well.

I use the show 15 camera as well and I’m hitting just fine. My Phillies just beat the Marlins 7-2. I had 9 hits including 2 doubles and 2 homers. Only thing you might consider is lowering your pitch speeds. Armour uses 7/6 (as do I), but nothing wrong lowering them a bit.

My advice - load Armour’s exact sliders (with the exception of lowering pitch speeds) and don’t give sliders a second thought. And play. No need to get slider”itis”. You will experience plenty of highs and lows during the season - just like real life

Pretty much.

My best hitters are always going to be 1-2-3 then power, power, in 4 and 5

6-9 are very interchangeable for me.

side story - I am a big fan of 90's baseball. I read an article some time ago where the author tried to determine the 1995 Indians season Albert Belle had (his 50 HR / 50 doubles season) IF he had moved up one spot in the batting order. Hargrove always used Lofton, Vizquel, Baerga, Belle, Murray, Thome, Ramirez, Sorrento and S. Alomar / Pena. Which was an insane lineup. But had Belle moved up to the 3-hole, how much more his statistics might have boomed from an RBI standpoint (of which I believed he nearly averaged 1 per game). Always fun stuff to think about. I enjoy reading the discussions here.

McDowell was not good in Cleveland though. He had one year where he won 13 games, but had an ERA over 5. He was hurt most of the rest of his contract.

I'm not a bitter Cleveland fan lol

Woody is a disaster. His strike zone is ludicrous at times.

Eric “Shi*stain” Summersgill will call plenty of clear balls on the outside strikes….hate him too lol.

Yankees Year 6 is going strong and The 2022 Royals Year 1 is also off and running.

With the new ESPN “The Captain” series we got really inspired to play through Jeter’s career one season at a time using MK Harsh/Baumy and PJ Snell’s
Brilliant rosters from the 90’s and early 2000’s

1995 The Beginning is now going with MK Harsh’s 1995 Deluxe Season Roster.

Although Jeter was brought up late that year we are going all in with him from day one as he tries to help Don Mattingly get that elusive ring in a very competitive AL landscape.

Once we are done with 1995 we will move on to:

1996
1997
1998
1999
2000
2001

All using these rosters for one season replays.

I also may forge ahead with:

2002
2003
2004
2006
2007

All available on MLB 20!!!!

After months of playing 22 I just can’t anymore. I love the improvements to franchise mainly Progression/regression and FA period where big name players sign later I had a lot of fun rebuilding and sim seasons. That being said on field just doesn’t feel right that’s the best way to put it for me. I’m not scared to challenge big bats and using big power bats I don’t feel dangerous also using high contact guys(my favorite type of hitters) it’s hard to have long AB’s and make pitchers work. Going back to 20 going start 2 franchises.

1) using the 2022 Nats using 30 team control(favorite team and we will not be getting rid of Soto no matter what!)

2) The 93’ O’s because before we had the Nats all we had was the O’s my dad was a great Lefty shortstop back in his day so I will be making him a CAP in the minors.

I will be using your 30 team setup guide. Quick question how long does it take to setup and maintain, hours wise. Anyone who has done this can answer just trying see what I’m getting myself into lol

Downloading 20 feels like release day I’m excited! Remember “baseball is better!”
