Agree: always trust the Cardinals front office.

Would have loved to see Goldy/Nolan/Soto in middle of order, but not at the expense of giving up literally every good young player in the org.

SD can have him….if this doesn’t work (no guarantees), Preller will be fired.

Grew up in Detroit, so I am a Tigers fan 4 sure, BUT I live and die with S.L. Always respected their tradition and preferred NL ball over AL ball…..that’s how I became a fan (Whitey ball in the 80’s).

Now living in ATX, so yeah….Hook em Horns!

I’m a firm believer in Defense and Speed, Herzog was the master at piecing together that type of team.

The Tigers have one of the best Home uniforms in all of baseball. I miss old Tiger stadium as well. They ripped my heart out in the 1968 series over the Cardinals. I guess the fact the Cards won it in 64 and 67 helped take a little of the sting away.

I won’t even mention the 85 series with the botched call at first.

Armor, I also started a 95 season with Mk Harsh’s rosters . First game was crazy. Down 7-4 in the eighth , I was able to get 2 runs to make it 7-6. Wickman shut the O’s down in the bottom of the inning. Top of the ninth With a runner on second O’Neil hits a 2 run homer to left center to take the lead 8-7. Enter John Wettland. Pitches a scoreless 9 th and the Yanks win. Fun roster.

The real reason for this post is to ask you how you handle the “Joe Random” players on each team? Do you just turn off injuries? Let me know how you’re approaching it. Thank you ! Having a blast so far

I play single seasons with historical rosters on MLBTS20…..it’s awesome.

Set up: 30 team control, and definitely turn off injuries & trades (roster control set to on).

No sweat….it’s refreshing to sometimes play w/o worrying about all the little things that need to be done in order to keep your multi-year franchise realistic.

Just your top 26 players versus every other teams top 26 players.

I like it. Still playing 22 but I have a few franchises still going with 20. Bacons fictional w/ the Brewers . A 93 chise w/ classic rosters , a yanks chise with the 20 rosters and a padres franchise with 80’s rosters with a fantasy draft. All sorts of s**t going on. Lmao

                  Hey Vertman......exactly like Dowie said.

I was not ignoring ya.......just been crazy busy traveling around with my son in his college baseball recruiting journey.

And with that.....I am very proud to say to you all my son Committed today to William Peace University in Raleigh NC to continue his academic and athletic career!!! My wife and I are incredible proud of him. He has big goals and still has a lot of work ahead of him....but today was a big day for him. Of course this is a proud papa moment for me too.....I can’t lie.

He will be playing in the D3 Conference South Division and playing for what we felt was an incredible coaching staff. Head Coach Charlie Long and Assistant Head Coach Ed Porcelli were truly awesome in his visit today.

We are talking true old school guys who played in the 80’s at the highest levels. They came down to Fort Myers a week ago to watch my son in the Perfect Game BCS 17U National Championships....and they told him they saw one AB.....and knew they wanted him.

He was facing a D1 commit who was sitting 90-91. Very first AB of the game (lead off spot). 3-2 count and he kept battling...foul, foul, foul, foul, then.....boom a deep loud out to RC at the warning track.

They loved his approach and how he handed the stick. They also loved the way he carried himself on the field on defense, always communicating, always moving and being where he needed to be whenever the ball was it....and even between pitches how he held runners at 2B....etc etc etc.

Approach, IQ, and being humble. They saw the qualities that are being overlooked far too often today.

Way too many kids, parents and coaches thinking showcase baseball is where you get recruited. Exit Velo, BP, and radar guns......nope not these guys. They look for baseball players. Yes....you gotta have the skills (and my kid absolutely is a baller) but he is a 5’10 150 pound middle infielder who never jumped off the page on video or at a combine....but when it counts...when the lights are on and the game is actually being played....he delivers.

And that’s how my son knew....he found place to call home. I am so excited for him I cannot even tell you. He will be playing for first class guys and have an amazing 4 years IMO......just an awesome day today.

I second that, congrats. Looks like a nice place. The way you describe your son’s game he sounds like a chip off the old block.

Hey Armour. Are you still using pitch speeds at 7/6? I always use the same pitch speeds as you, or a tick higher, but I can’t pull a fastball for the life of me with speeds at 7/6. I think I have to go down to 6/5. Maybe it’s just my 58-year old eyes slowing down!

                                Hey Burgess,

I had asked him this on one of his streams a few weeks back.
Unless it's changed, Armor now rolls with 6/5 pitch speeds.
All 3 of us have those late 40's/early 50's eyeballs.

Not that you or anyone else cares, but I think I am punting on 22.
I can honestly say I've tried everything (probably 75+ games.....armors set, tnk's set, default sliders, all star, all star +, HOF, different hitting views.....nothing compares to 20 using Armor's exact set up.
I guess that is my happy place too
