This is probably a question that’s been asked 100x through this thread but how do these sliders work on ‘21? Still applicable or have there been consensus changes to a few things?

Yes your assumption is correct. Volsfan39 also optimized the ratings to be played with the classic slider set. And has nailed 1980’s baseball to the absolute 9’s with this roster he created.

I am loving the fantasy chise we have going with the Pirates. And the struggle has been real. It is a 1 and done season and then we will draft a brand new team with the roster.....it is perfect for that type of 1980’s baseball play. It truly harkens me right back to the days of Statis-Pro and drafting teams with all the player cards and doing a “what if” fantasy season!!

Also it is great for a long term franchise too!! And that would change my draft strategy if I ever decide on a multi year franchise with this set.

Yankees Year 6 is off and running as well and we are hot out of the gate! But we just got hit with one minor injury (Trea Turner 10-14 days) and new 2B Jason Kipinis out for 2 months with a broken shin as we head out on a long road trip.

That’s awesome! Love the 80’- 90’s era of baseball. This game is still amazing after almost 3 years. I have a chise going with bacons rosters playing as the Brewers. Sitting in 1st place by 3 games headed towards the end of August. Also have a 93 franchise going with the Yanks and am struggling after 50+ games sitting 10 games under .500 and one going with the 2020 Yankees club and have not had more fun playing any other sports game to date. What a great game 20 is! Enjoy brother. Talk to you soon

My wife…….let me tell this gal is something.

The bell rings at 4PM for me (kinda like the whistle at the beginning of the Flintstones and he goes Yabba Dabba Dooo!!!) my day typically ends at 4PM (sometimes no lol).

She hands me an envelope and inside is a Gamestop preorder receipt for MLB 22 Deluxe Steelcase.

Stunned……she has never ever bought me a video game…she told me my son told her I would love it.

She has no tangible idea of my alter ego on here or Twitch…..all she knows is that about 2K people follow me and like hanging out with me while playing The Show almost every freaking day of the year. She has no clue. I had zero…..I mean zero intention of picking this years game up.

But here we are……so

1. Yankees Year 6 is absolutely living on and MLB 20 is never dying for me…..ever.

2. We are going to give MLB 22 a true fair shot as I did the same exact thing with 21

3. If we find joy in playing the newest version of the game of course I will create a Directional/Classic/auto field/manual throw slider set for all Tom hopefully connect with.

4. I am headed to Cary NC to watch my son compete in the USA Elite 16 National Tournament. This is the highest honor in highschool baseball in terms of being invited to play. Only 16 teams in the country play this tournament each year.

5. If we really enjoy MLB 22 Slider Set Thread will go up on April 11th

6. I already have a few close OS old
School dudes twisting out things for me while I am gone so I can hit the ground running.

7. Who will be my franchise team for 22???? God knows….first we run a teat chise to get our HOF level settings locked in and we never look back.

The previews have probably been the most promising in a long time. I don’t even think 20 was as hyped up pre-launch or as exciting. And you didn’t sound this exciting for it last year at this time.

Yeah something feels different…..hope my intuition is correct and my belief in this great series is restored.

21 was about gameplay for me…..game felt like it had no soul….like it hit a brick wall. Stagnant and some other issues we already talked about way too much.

Midnight we dive in with an open heart and hope for some console baseball greatness…..plus the thought of my wife (and son as I know he had a hand in it) just warmed my heart today….I was genuinely touched and surprised.

Can’t wait for the 22 thread, I am definitely turning off my auto downloads for game updates. I will not let them ruin this amazing game OOTB with a patch for online play.
