Yeah I did move up to legend for 5 games , it was brutal ! CPU pitching on legend is near perfect and turns the average mediocre pitchers into all stars on the mound . The stats and attributes of a pitcher mean very little on legend , it's like they all are elite pitchers with a super boost . There was nothing fun or realistic about it , I posted the 1st game with legend pitching of few pages back for guys to see just how brutal it is . What I don't get is why on the show 19 with these settings im challenged but here it's a lot easier and I'm seeing the ball alot better . Legend isn't the answer ,

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider

So there are three approaches one can take with feelings of too much power vs too much exit velo vs too much offense.

For those that love the OP. Stick with it. Because that is what I am doing. The sliders on the OP right now are perfect for me.

However, I tested some tweaks and they will absolutely affect the “power” question.

Drop timing to 4 and power to 4 for both the CPU and USER and you will see a good shift with offense becoming more of a challenge and less perfect/perfect exit velo squared up balls.

Just drop power to 4 for both USER and CPU and you will see a slight shift in power.

      Pick your poison.

The timing slider has a large affect on offense. Far more than the power slider. Be careful with this one as it will neuter offense for sure.

For me I am having too much fun at the default level to make any changes at this time.

But those are the best adjustments above and I will update the OP with those suggestions so we can move on to other areas of observation, which thus far have been great at default woth the slight tweaks we have on V1.5

Zero homers this game with power at 4/4. LeBlanc is a crafty lefty and was a bit of a challenge.

          Two things:

          1. the game is a lot smoother this year than last year, so it is easier to get a good swing timing. (I'd comment on the tighter offset between FB and offspeed pitches, but if you've been following Armor's setup, that should be accounted for)
          2. One change Brian from SCEA (a dev) commented-on in here was that they wanted to make sure that exit velocities were maintained properly throughout each difficulty level. That makes sense to me, because last year, there was a tangible decrease in exit velo as one went up above All Star. Now, whether that was "the right thing to do" is up to our individual expectations of the game.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I updated to OP at the bottom of the trade slider settings.

If you are looking just to curb power:

            HUM/CPU Power both at 4

If you are looking to curb power and exit velocity (less perfect/perfect contact)

            HUM/CPU Power both at 4
            HUM/CPU Timing both at 4

100% agree Josh. And I am sticking with default hitting sliders except for CPU Foul Frequency at 4.

However as I have successfully tested along with great feedback by the peeps in this thread. A simple one click down of the timing slider has a very positive affect to those looking to reduce the amount of Perfect/Perfect squared up contact and exit velocity.

So there are legit options for those looking to customize what they want out of the game. The sliders on the Show have always been outstanding in being able to tweak the game without throwing it all out of whack (unlike other sports games by EA cough cough Madden cough cough).

I've just played 3 games of a 4 game series against the O's with power 4 , timing 4 , and solid hits 4 as I really like that setting and it feels alot better . Only 1 home run from me in these 3 games . Only 3 games yes I know , but I've been hitting on avg 2 , 3 a game for nearly 45+ games now so this is very positive . And also the fact that I'm facing Baltimore and not crushing each pitch says something about the timing at 4 .

Im personally sticking to the power at 4 for both. My games have been amazing and instead of home runs, I’m seeing more extra base hits. Thank you again for your sliders.

Made two bad pitches with Paxton and here’s the result. Lots of men left on base by the Bronx Bombers.

And you play on Hall of Fame using classic pitching? Where does your team fall in the league in strikeouts?
