Yea it's not the sliders. I get impatient and start swinging at bad pitches. I start pressing cause in the back of my mind I'm thinking (c'mon you shouldn't be getting swept by the Pirates to start the season)...I need to remember that "I don't have to swing at everything just because I can hit it. I basically need to be more selective.....I lost all three games: 2-1, 2-1 3-2. Now I have a 3 game set with Milwaukee. I'm keeping the sliders as you have them except for some fielding sliders. I really liked Irish's sliders but there were too many, IMO, that were way off default.......
They play great however it got into my head if I was on a hot streak....I would wonder if it's just the sliders or an 'earned' hot streak. It's hard to explain but that thought tended to make me want to mess with the sliders too much...so I needed to find a set that was closer to default.

Yeah Rmiok and I both agree that we want to leave everything as close to default as possible. Weve been on this set for a while now and dont see it changing unless they mess something up gameplay wise with a patch. In my Rockies franchise I've had teams have up to 18 hits against me and ive held teams to 5 hits. Were both going through slumps right now (I'm currently 1-11 in my rockies franchise) so this set is far from easy.

I’d say it’s for sure just preference between any slider set and another. Obviously Irish likes his set (obviously) lol. I tested legend at one point as well and when I had a lot of sliders way below 5 I just figured I’d make HOF harder. Like I said, it’s a personal preference and it’s not like one way is right and one way is wrong.

Streaming vs Phillies in 5-10 minutes

I was up 9-1 and ended up winning 10-8. Phillies had winning run at the plate. Yimi Garcia may finally be out as my closer, even though we obviously won, he gave up a run and walked two. He’s blown 5 saves in 13 attempts. Rowan Wick would be next in line.

Mets just absolutely slaughtered me. They had 15 runs on 21 hits. 5 homeruns. That was a nightmare lol

I dropped you a follow and just started a rebuild on my twitch after enough support from my community.

I ran into you slider settings and I was wondering if the sliders on the front page are the most updated sliders. Ive been slowing tweaking some slider like In/OF Arm Str but left everything else how you had it.

So far scores have been:

7-1 Cubs over Pirates @ Wrigley
10-9 Reds over Pirates @ GA Ballpark
7-4 Pirates over Brewers @ Miller Park
7-4 Reds over Pirates @ PNC Park

Im really liking your sliders this year! Have given me some good games for my community to watch while I commentate.

Yeah they’re updated! Decent at Best, who made this set with me likes cpu timing at 5. I’m honestly still on the fence between 4 and 5. It’s like splitting hairs though. You’ll have a good game regardless. The game I got slaughtered by the Mets 15-5 cpu timing was at 4.

And you mentioned leaving OF arm strength alone, that would be fine as well. I just liked my OFers to have a tad more power in arm strength.

The OP is a great base though in my opinion. Just make tweaks to your preference, like you said you did with arm strength. Nothing wrong in doing that! Glad you enjoy.

I think infield arm at like 3 and outfield 4. Gives good realism on some arms that are known to be bad, and produce more short hops at first, outfield is like 2-3 hoppers, average arms 1 hop and the elite arms e.i. Laureano, Heyward, back in the day Cespedes.

Ill have to take a look, at the CPU timing, Ive noticed alot of hard hits but also noticed in the four games ive played starting pitchers have combined for 5 hits and 3 rbis haha. IDK if this is a fluke, a cause of the scripting that is in MLB the Show or just how bad my staff vs the other teams staff we are trotting out to throw balls and strikes.

The other thing ive noticed is lots of the runs come on crooked number innings. Not to many 1 or 2 run innings.

I’ve never seen an inning with that many fouls. That was insane lol. If you wanted to put cpu timing down to 3 it wouldn’t hurt. You’d get more swings and misses as well.

Honestly I’m kind of toying with timing now again myself. I’m going to try 3 on my end. I really try to refrain from changing a whole bunch but this is something that needs addressed in my opinion. I’m going to test cpu timing at 3 tomorrow morning. I think it should work well though.

Let Me know how that goes! Im not going to get back to franchise till Saturday. I do like rebuilds for the first season or two to find those sliders you like.

Also I think with my rotation which is like 73,71,70,70, and 69 overall respectively i think they are averaging 4-6 Ks, more Ks from our bullpen arms which in this day and age makes sense.
