    Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

That is the problem with the durability rating is it linked to stamina and injury. There needs to be 2 ratings for that. I find players that have been injured in the past like starting pitches go out after 1 innings a lot!

speaking of which one problem this game has is RP never get injured unless it is simmed. I never see them get any injury, needs to happen more often a team can never have the same 8 guys in over a week in the BP

They will but since you don't throw many pitches with them in a game the likelihood of seeing one is really low.

One option to remedy this is something I did in the past. I would save the game after playing. Sim my next game and note any injuries during the sim. Look at box score to see about when they were injured.

Then reload my save, play the game. I'd sub out the guy or whatever when he was hurt during the sim. After the game put it on manual injuries and create the injury. Use random number app to determine how many days hurt.

You have me thinking now. This could be a great idea to use for only RP injuries. Sim first, if any RP injured note them down. If not then reload and play game.

The game is playing great, and I’m liking what I’m seeing with the SP/RP stamina change. I will hopefully get a lot more time in this evening than I have been. It has just went crazy on me.

Is anybody seeing an issue with base stealing? It seems I throw out an inordinate amount of runners compared to how it should be. I don't steal much myself so I can't compare. Just curious if anyone else had noticed this.

Sliders are playing great for me. Was still seeing a lot of dives and fielders missing the ball so lowered fielding errors and that's seemed to balance out. Still had a few fielding errors too. Always been a problem on the Show getting errors right.
if it wasn't for the gutter my mind would be homeless...

We raised steal ability up to 7 cause it was easy to throw guys out. If you're thinking you are throwing out too many you can always try moving it up to 8

Yes we have. That is why we turned steal frequency down to 3 and ability to 7.

Do you feel like they are stealing in bad times? Like when they shouldn’t be?

The frequency and times seem OK, I don't question when they steal or who with. I didn't want to modify the slider without feedback and make it too easy to steal myself as well. Was curious if anyone was still seeing this after the previous slider modification.

What do you guys think is realistic user pitcher control and consistency for Meter pitching. That is what I use. It would be different than using classic.

I would first think to go to 0/0 to make sure you are throwing enough balls and giving up walks. We haven’t tested these with meter so I’m not sure. 2/2 might still work since it is lower than most other sets.

How are your games so far? With your Mets pitching staff that might be hard to tell lol.

Are you using quick counts? I can’t remember if you said you were or not a while ago. If not, check your strike rate percent in the pitching logs screen (I think it is called something like that). You want to be around 60-70% strikes thrown. Basically the amount of strikes divided by total pitches. Your ace pitchers should be a little higher.

No I am not using quick counts. I will have to check the stats to see what is going on. I have been using the settings on the sliders. I will have to tinker with it to see.
                          Thanks.

I have added a revised modifier chart if you guys want to follow that. We removed the hitting and pitching settings (contact, power, solid hits). We don't want crazy games to skew our stats. Especially we are technically still testing these. But if you guys are happy with the original, feel free to use it.

                            Things we added:
SP Stamina options for each Human and CPU sliders.
More fielding, errors, and speed options.

                            Optional:
Also, added 2 Jokers if you want to add them. This gives an added twist. You will have to be using 30 team control (if you do the CPU). If you draw a black joker, you have to do a bullpen game. A red joker will be CPU bullpen game. You will put a MRP guy in the starting rotation spot.

I think you might be able to start the game, where you pick the sides to control, you can switch it to the CPU, and continue and then choose the pitcher, and then back out and switch the controller back to you. I know you can do that in exhibition but not sure in franchise. If not, you can just see who is pitching that day and change them.

You might want to do the cards before you go into the start of the game so you can adjust the rosters accordingly if you want.

You can make it simpler and just do it for your own team if you want and not worry about the CPU.
