Can you please explain the infield/outfield errors value on the op. It’s quite the swing saying 5 or 0 and 6 or 0. What is the difference with these values.

I apologize. I think I explained the differences in a post but not on the OP. Thank you for catching that.

So we have been seeing bad infield animations. A lot of infielders were diving for the ball and the ball would either bounce out of his glove for easy infield hits. Felt like it happened too much. We know we are sacrificing errors but to be honest, most of the time when we see an infielder bobble the ball that should be an error was scored a hit. So if we lower the infield errors to 0, you will not see them as often. You will still see the infielder dive and miss but not every time.

We know this is very "out of the norm" so it was more of a preference to everybody. If you want to go with the 0 and see how it goes for you, you can. Or you can go with the 5 setting like we had it before.

I use 1/1 on control consistency for the meter. I have set rules I apply also while pitching such as no strike zone on screen, only aim for corners no matter the count, and must use full strength on the effort when at two strikes or three balls. Helps with walks, for example some games I may walk two or three, then some games like my last game I had 8 total (5 by the starter). Keeps it realistic.
if it wasn't for the gutter my mind would be homeless...

I have been busy lately but I am back at it.

I finished my 3 game series against Seattle.

          Mariners 1 5 1
          Mets 2 5 1

          Mariners 6 12 0
          Mets 3 7 1

          Mariners 2 7 0
          Mets 3 7 0

I win the series 2-1 but it was a tough one. In game 2 Lewis the CF hit a 3 run bomb to give Seattle the win.

In game 3 Degrom struck out 12 but he walked 1 and hit 2 batters. My bullpen pulled me through for the win. Canha also hit a 2 run HR.

I never scored more than 3 runs in any game. My pitching carried me through. The one run games could have gone either way.

I am 30-11 and in 1st place right now.

Are you feeling the cpu is challenging enough for you? Your era has to be really good for your pitching.

Right now I am using 6/3/5 as my settings on Hall of Fame.

The games are close and challenging but my pitching has dominated somewhat BUT I am getting into the real meat of my schedule.

I have kind of played a soft schedule. Plus A lot of divisional teams I am familiar with.

I am getting ready to play a LOT of winning teams on the game..St Louis...Colorado...Dodgers....Brewers....SF...so its going to be a real big test.

I am fine tuning things and making it more challenging.

I am thinking of putting it on Legend pitching and lower the sliders by one to 5/3/4 to compensate for how hard that level is.

Now that I am at the hard part of the schedule I will see the real deal.

The real life Mets are winning for the same reason. Divisional games and weaker teams.

                Hey everybody,

had a lot of fun in the first couple of weeks with your sliders, great variety, was on HOF for pitching and hitting. I loved the feeling and pressure, so many close games, but wow that game has changed. It first started with too many HR and almost no singles.
After some changes here, I couldn´t hit anything, dynamic difficulty pushed me down to veteran, I saw too many hits for CPU and myself, 15-10 every game but no HR (with power at 3).
Today I played 2 games and almost every hit was a HR for both sides (8 and 10 total).
What really pisses me off is, the hit count is way to high. I start with Scherzer and have at least 25 pitches in the first and 45 in the second. Pitcher doesn´t matter by the way, just to give you some examples.

And it is not bad pitching. I can clearly feel, how the game wants to do that on purpose. 2 quick outs and then suddenly, I need 10-15 pitches to let the hitter walk or they hit a HR in the end. They even foul balls, way off the plate, just to push the hit count.

It is sooo frustrating, because beside these problems, the game feels so realistic and like I said, I had games so close and with so much pressure, it was amazing.

                Do you see similar problems?

Are you seeing the cpu hit homers on power at 3?

For me, it seems like power at 4 and it is too many home runs. Trying to find the right balance with power at 3. Solid hits at 5. Right now I am testing human control and consistency at 4/3. Even debating on going to solid hits at 6 and raising the control to 5.

For hitting side, For me personally, I’m testing power at 3 and solid hits at 4. I’m on Allstar + for hitting. I feel like solid hits at 5 is a little too much but 4 feels not enough.

With those hits, you should be getting back to higher difficulty right?

                    The season is getting tougher.

                    St. Louis 2 9 0
                    Mets 1 5 1

Scherzer got injured in the 3rd and left the game. He will be out a few days with inflammation in his elbow. The Cards starter Flaherty pitched a very good game. Very good off speed pitches. I couldn't get his timing down. My hitting is slumping right now and I am trying to break out of it.

I have played 15 games in the month of May and 7 of them have been one run games. That is a very high percentage.

When you play a close game each pitch and each batter means something. Very intense gameplay.

As far as the two outs then feels impossible to get the last one. We noticed this a lot last year. Definitely sometimes this year too but no as much as last year.

What I've learned is to just have a new pitcher get that last out for you. Like you said, you get to where you can sense it coming.

Is there anything you can do.

Pete Alonso has 9hr and 20 Rbi for me but he is batting only .175.

Marte is batting under .200 also and has like 1 RBI for the entire season.

I am still winning despite no production from those two.

I would maybe sit him for a couple games straight. Or even send him down to the minors for a week or two. Or put him down in the order.

Well I am going to restart my Mariners franchise tonigjt. I got Ridin’s rosters and have them set up with the bullpens. I was 33-17 and then I started over with Antortiz roster and I was 22-12 as the Mariners. Going to start my official franchise tonight. It will be nice to have a season go with the same settings to see how they play out.

And I said I wouldn’t do this. Lol

Send them down until the snowflake is gone. I did this last year with RP Brasier and even Chris Sale. Worked great for Brasier. Unfortunately I just could never get a feel when pitching with Sale regardless.

I turn waivers on manual for all cpu teams so I can always send guys up and down for my team and theirs without worrying about losing a player to waivers. This allows me to remove low rated guys from 40 man for better players that make sense to call up for injuries for cpu controlled teams.

I think I will sit Alonso for a few games and send Marte down to the minors for a couple of weeks and call up Travis Jankowski for a while. He has done good for the Mets this year. He certainly can't do any worse than Marte.

                                Thanks for the advice.
