    Re: S & B's Directional/Classic/Quick Counts MLB 22 Sliders

Curious if OP’s have a solid slider set for simulating other games around the league that net reasonably realistic results?

Default with more/ less pitcher stamina?

    Thanks!

For simulated games to control excessive amount of complete games we have SP stamina at 0. Manager hook at 7 as well. You could have hook at 10 for even less if you think you are seeing too many still.

Injuries I have it on 5 for simmed games, but 6 is good too. Other than that, any other sliders will not effect simulated stats. Stolen bases are way too high in simulated games but there's nothing you can do about it unfortunately.

Wonderful, thank you. Curious, SP stamina at 0 doesn’t have any negative effect on pitcher stats or length in game? No excessive HR’s given up due to fatigue?

No, the tests we ran the SP innings pitched were still really good.

We did a couple of sim seasons and turned off injuries. We seen about 20 complete games in a season. Which is good. We did have hook at 10 but that was giving the bullpens too much work where the RP’s would be pitching in 90+ games. At 7, we were seeing RP’s go about 60-75 games in a season which is normal in real life. And that is without injuries or roster moves.

I hope everyone is doing good and having fun still. I’m still having a blast. The Mariners are 25-22 and in 3rd place 4 games back. Just wanted to give an update on things. We have noticed that there is more weak contact by the cpu. Here are a couple of things we are testing.

                CPU timing at 4.
                CPU Solid Hits at 7
                Human Control at 4

Sounds great! You’re testing these as a whole, like one package, or testing one by one in each game?

                    We are testing them together.

The control at 4 should give us more walks allowed. I would like ti try 3 but that might be too low.

The solid hits to 7 helps with the cpu hitting more good contact. Too many weak hits. Also helps get more doubles.

The timing at 4 is to compensate the more swing and miss. The few games we tested we still get 8-10 K’s per game.

I am actually really enjoying these sliders in the first handful of games using them. Varied scores with a mix of wins and losses. Having to really concentrate on hitting a good pitch and pitchers getting punished if not having their stuff. Had a walk off in last game with Zack Collins to win 3-2 after being down 2-1 with 2 outs in the night. Will post my line scores for the games played when I get home from work.

Edit: this is NOT using the changes that you are testing.

Just to show the results since I went with your sliders. Playing as the Blue Jays.

                              Game 1 - 3-0 W vs TB. I had 4 hits, TB 7.
                              Game 2 - 7-5 W vs TB. I had 8 hits, TB 10
                              Game 3 - 4-0 W vs SEA. I had 11 hits, SEA 3
                              Game 4 - 6-5 L vs SEA. I had 12 hits, SEA 14
                              Game 5 - 3-2 W vs SEA. I had 8 hits, SEA 7
                              Game 6 - 2-1 W vs CIN. I had 6 hits, CIN 9

So overall, 5-1 record (faced some easier SP). Hits varied all over the place over the 6 games for USER and the CPU. For the most part all close games that could have went either way!

So overall, 5-1 record (faced some easier SP). Hits varied all over the place over the 6 games for USER and the CPU. For the most part all close games that could have went either way!
