My one nemesis is the Washington Nationals lol. I've played two series against them and am 1-5, they obliterate me. In the 6 games I've played Juan Soto has hit 7 HRs against me and that's with me trying to pitch around him without intentionally walking him because he's always up with men on base.

My only issue currently is the injury setting, I've lost 4 starting players to season ending injury, it seems as though anytime an infielder makes a simple dive for a ball they risk injury and they are really severe. I like that there are a bunch on injuries around the league, though I hate that half my starting lineup is gone for the season. I think I'm going to lower that slider from 10 to 6 to see if it helps.
I've been playing at 10 and only injuries I've had is 2-3 months for Pete Alonso, 1-2 months for RP John Curtiss, and a few day to day injuries. Does suck you have so many that are out that long.

What you can do is switch injuries to manual and manually heal them then play with lower setting.

Man saved the game for me thus far. I was winning 80 percent of my games 3-1, 2-0 etc. I’m hitting on AS + with sliders bumped a little for me and pitching on HOF + and have lost 5 of 7! Scores have been 7-5, 9-7, 5-0. The cpu is finally a threat. Biggest thing I believe is pitch control on 0 and cpu timing on 10 with fielder speed reduced like y’all have. I’m still getting strikeouts which is great, but now the cpu gets 8-12 hits and I walk a couple.

Glad you are enjoying them. Nice to know these sliders would work on HOF+ with timing at 10.

          Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

I decided to do something different for trades around the league this year. I have them off so I can go around the league and make trades. It holds me accountable cause I really needed pitching help and really wanted Frankie Montas who is leading the league in ERA. This way prevents me from just going out and getting whoever I wanted. Last year I did a random number generator to determine what teams could use said player.

After figuring out who are the buyers and sellers since I’m going to be starting the last week of July in my franchise. Then determined who are the pending free agents on the sellers. I only included Montas since he is rumored to be traded this year.

This year, I decided to determine who wins the player based on the website trade simulator. For Montas, I switched control to the Athletics and selected Montas and looked for offers for prospects only. Went through the teams that were needing a SP and looked at their offers. Looked up their trade value and whoever had the highest value won the trade. So in theory, Athletics were taking the best offer. Mariners only came up with an offer valued at 23. The Rays ended up with the best offer with a value of 48. They offered Luis Patino, Curtis Mead, and Cooper Kinney. The Yankees were in the mix as well

          Some trades around the league.

Brewers acquire Josh Bell from the Nationals. Bell is hitting .307 with 15 HR.

Yankees acquire Willson Contreras and Jonathan Villar from the Cubs for Miguel Andujar, Oswaldo Cabrera, and Everson Pereira. Yankees are 54-44 and 6 games out in 4th place. Tough division. Andujar has been wanting out of New York and will have an everyday roll with a rebuilding Cubs team. Cubs are 43-54 but only 6.5 games out but they couldn’t refuse the Yankees offer.

Red Sox acquire Jesus Aguilar from the Marlins.

Angels acquire David Peralta from the Diamondbacks.

White Sox acquire Cesar Hernandez from the Nationals.

Giants acquire Nelson Cruz from the Nationals.

We are still going strong on MLB 22.

Lost our first game after the Allstar break 3-2 against the 2st place Astros. Then won the 2nd game 12-8. It was 10-8 in the 5th inning before it finally settled down.

              Re: S & B's Directional/Classic/Quick Counts MLB 22 Sliders

Game one vs Phillies their box score line was 2 3 1; 0BB 11K. 2HR

              Game two: 9 18 0; 2BB 9K. 5 2B, 4HR

              Gane three: 5 6 0; 2BB 9K. 2B, HR

In game two Harper was 5 for 6, 2 2B, 2HR. Was so close to hitting his 3rd HR last at bat. 96 contact and 96 power will do that kind of damage.

Game is playing out as perfect as can be. And with our craziness of OCD testing wanting perfect hit distribution, Ks, and batting averages that is saying a lot. It is an absolute joy to play each game I do and miss playing after a couple days of not being able to.

I at least like to do that to start the year. So do you do mid season trades based on real life trades?

Yep, I review MLB transactions each day and adjust accordingly. It gets really tough at trade deadline time.

The thing that always kills me is when my team is a seller, because I always choose a team that is not expected to make the playoffs. I expect the Rockies to trade a bunch of pieces this year, so we'll see how my season ends up.

That would be hard for me if I did that cause I’m in the division race with the Mariners. And in real life they could be sellers.

So kind of embarrassed to admit this but I am getting shredded with Timing and Solid hits at 10 for the CPU even on All-Star. It's funny because everyone can't produce offense from the CPU but I just get shredded through a decent sample size all kinds of different pitchers as well. CPU gets a hit just about every inning.

So I scrolled back and set timing I believe to 8 and solid hits to 9 and that has been working better for me, still seeing a good amount of offense from the CPU, anyways wanted to see if you guys would suggest anything different as far as how to address this. Again kind of embarrassed that I have this problem seeing how easy a time people have been having with pitching lol.

As a side note I posted back a while ago about steals and the advice I got about using L1 was a game changer, so thank you for that

Glad that worked for you on steals.

I have been getting hit hard too but also been playing some tough teams. But then I shut out the Rangers 2-0 with my best pitcher.

I would go with what you did if that is working for you. If you seen to see them stop being dangerous you could raise it back up. You don’t want to lower anything else cause then they will become weak.

Well I played my series vs the Rays today, changing everything to the OP except anything human hitting. Sadly the results weren't what I was hoping. Swept the Rays, winning 7-2, 6-0, and 2-1. Pitching definitely felt easier. I can certainly say without a doubt pinpoint effects things, because even with control at 0 I was able to locate perfectly.

I guess with that I'm left with 2 options. I can either try these sliders on legend, or bite the bullet and switch to like meter or even classic.

I’m going to give these a spin and am curious about the foul ball slider. Is it a must to keep it at 0? I’ve been and A&S guy historically, and I believe he usually has it at 3 or 4. Does this help with strikeouts?
