    Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

I love how these sliders lead to such varied game outcomes.

I am playing the Colorado Rockies season, we just played 3 games in Detroit with very normal scoring. I won the first two games 4-1 and 2-0, then on Sunday the Tigers decided to break out the bats and beat me 6-1.

The next night in Philly, back and forth game, I go into the 9th leading 8-4. The Phillies draw a walk, hit a double and a sac fly to make it 8-5. No problem, bring in the closer right? Nope, Daniel Bard gives up 4 more on one walk and a few hits to blow the save. I was furious as I lost 9-8.

17 runs scored in the game, only 2 solo HRs (one for each team). I love this slider set so much.

Sounds like you’re using dynamic difficulty? I’ve honestly gotten so tired of the slider game that I’ve contemplated just using dynamic difficulty for the remainder of the season. I just don’t know if there’s a sample size before I “lock in” the difficulty or what number on the dynamic difficulty slider I would use to keep it changing at a reasonable rate.
These sliders will work for HOF hitting and pitching. Steve is locked in on HOF pitching and he’s on Rookie hitting. I was on HOF pitching and a couple bad games brought me down to Allstar plus. I am hitting on Veteran + now but I was on HOF for a couple of games before I got knocked back down.

I put the dynamic slider on 3. It takes a while for it to move up or down. If you have it at like 5 or higher, a couple of home runs will bump you up. I enjoy the dynamic.

I see that you pitched your perfect game at Toronto. That stadium is so different than the National League parks. Completely different environment from the more traditional looking parks.

It is amazing the effect that each park has on each game.

I recently played a series at Dodger Stadium and that stadium has its own ambience and energy. They recreated it very well in the game. If you haven't done so you should play a game there in a exhibition.

The time of day that each game is played can affect the visibility and gameplay as well.

Petco Park in San Diego has planes landing in the background and that kept on distracting me while I was trying to hit.

That’s funny you say that since you play in New York and those planes doesn’t bother you.

But you are right. Each stadium is different. Fenway plays a lot of extra base hits in there.

But you are right. Each stadium is different. Fenway plays a lot of extra base hits in there.
In Citi Field the planes fly overhead as you are batting.

In San Diego the planes land behind the stadium so you see the planes coming down to land beyond the outfield wall. As you hit you can see the planes constantly landing. You should play a exhibition there.

The Nationals stadium has helicopters flying behind the stadium while you are playing.

This is why we have to play in both leagues so you can see everything.

You can hear John Adams banging his bass drum at progressive. This guy has been to almost every single Indians/guardians game since 1973. He sits below the scoreboard and bangs on this drum (it’s kinda tribal sounding, so it fit with the Indians name) between pitches.

He hasn’t been to a game since 2019 though he spent a lot of time in ICU but he said he plans on being back for cleveland this year

I think it’s so cool that it’s in the game though.

For those using these. How are the strikeouts post patch? I'm wondering if timing should be bumped up to 4 now since the patch increased swing and misses. I have been testing user hitting with a 5/3/3/5 hitting setup but last game used timing at 4 so 5/3/4/5.

I hit for both teams and this is what I got.

                            CLE 3 9 0 (3 doubles, 6 singles)
                            MIN 4 7 1 (1 double, 1 homerun, 5 singles)

For user strikeouts it's tough cause it is subjective based on user ability to read and react to pitches. I'm more asking for the cpu side of things. It was perfect with their timing at 3. I just don't want too many now from latest patch.

I didn't know that about Cleveland. The AL has a lot of unique stadiums. A lot of places to explore.

Man, I am struggling but having good games. But tough losses. Lose the first game to Boston 9-7. 2nd game we lost 5-4. And now I lost 1-0. Could not pick up Chris Sale. Especially with the shadows against the batters eye. That was tough. Had some chances late but couldn’t get the big hit.
