Well I decided to start my franchise last night, and lets just say it didn't go so well....lol

I loaded up my rosters and these sliders and the first thing I notice is the cpu reset everything...so I had to go in and fix my pitching rotation as well as my batting lineup.

This is where things get ....lets just say interesting...lol I start my first game of ST against the Brewers, and at first things start of very positive with Freeman hitting a bomb in the 1st inning, so I'm thinking to myself this is going to be a great opening ST game.

Then it happens...Urias couldn't pitch for crap and was all over the place, he had absolutely no control and was pitching a terrible game, but that's not the worst part of all this.....the Brewers are hitting me all over the damn park, but for some reason my fielders are absolutely freaking out when it comes to throwing the ball back in or getting a routine ground ball and throwing it to 1st for the out.

I had sooooo many overthrows to the tune of ending the game with 5 errors...lol I have NEVER had that many errors in this game for as long as I've played it.

So at this point I'm starting to freak out, checking the sliders to make sure everything loaded in fine...check those were fine, then it hit me....check my lineup!! and BOOM there was the issue, for some reason when reordering my lineup to mimic the Dodgers lineup, the game decides to put Vargas at Catcher and Will Smith at 2nd base.

Well as it turns out neither one of those guys can make a throw playing out of position to save their lives....lol... The game completely changed their position for whatever reason and I had to change their position back to their norm.

Needless to say, I ended up losing the game 10-5, due to terrible pitching and the fact that my guys were for some reason playing out of position and committing 5 errors...

After the game I am already checking out the free agent starting pitchers as well as some quality arms for the bullpen, for some reason I cannot for the life of me pitch with Urias, wasn't able to during my test games and that has carried over to the start of my season....lol Sorry for the long winded post, hopefully none of you guys have experienced the weird lineup changes or anything though...lol

The computer re-setting everything is a legacy issue that renders a lot of hard work roster creators put in useless. I wish there was a way to start a season with everything in tact but there isn't. Roster creators used to be able work around it by only adding the 26 active players to the 40 man roster but even that doesn't work anymore.

Even better, I wish you could upload "Scenarios" like in NBA 2K so you can literally just download a Franchise and start playing.

Roster creators used to be able work around it by only adding the 26 active players to the 40 man roster but even that doesn't work anymore.

Even better, I wish you could upload "Scenarios" like in NBA 2K so you can literally just download a Franchise and start playing.

Thanks for the input, now that you mention it I seem to recall reading something about rosters resetting inside of franchise....what I don't recall however is reading about the game actually changing a players position....lol

I mean to change Vargas to a catcher and Will Smith to 2nd base? something seems messed up there...lol

I like that you can't just put anyone anywhere though. Unlike Madden, where I'm still good if I put my punter as an offensive guard lol.

Yeah he didn't draft a QB cause he ran every single play lol. Just drafted best OLineman possible and a couple RBs. Rest on defense. And yeah he won it all lol

That is crazy that happened. Do you think you accidentally switched the positions for Smith and Vargas when you fixed the lineup? Was it that way for both lineup options?

So I guess these players can only throw a certain direction LOL They play catch before the game and Vargas has to stand at the 2B position. LOL

I always struggle pitching with Robbie Ray for some reason. Funny how there are certain pitchers you can't figure out how to use. You can trade him to the Cubs. We'll take him.

that is strange because usually the game complains every single innings that you have a player out of position and the screen comes up asking if you want to swap it warning you. maybe it only does that after a pinch hit

I don't really play that mode a lot but once I collect all the Negro League cards I am going play it a lot more.

Are you good with analog hitting? Only way you can possibly be competitive online vs pinpoint pitching

I don't use analog hitting maybe I should try. I still use the button hitting.
