Still working on a few things with the sliders. So far hitting, we are really liking the set up below on Allstar. For pitching, it is really hard to control the CPU with contact at 10. They just keep finding holes and getting hits. If you put power at 3, it helps but everything is weak. Testing some more tonight.

I'm having issues with strikeouts with version 4 ironically enough, where as I can't get any strikeouts anymore. I think I will be going back to V3 for some games. V4 I am getting killed

Yeah, version 4 was to help lower strikeouts. So if you were good with them on version 3, then that was a good set. Testing contact at 9 now.

Does anyone notice that in V4.0 sliders, HR’s and solid hits in general have taken a dive? 13 games into my Blue Jays franchise and I’ve only hit 1 HR each between Vladdy & Bo.

Do I bump the Power slider back up one notch like V3?

Yeah, version 4 was to help lower strikeouts. So if you were good with them on version 3, then that was a good set. Testing contact at 9 now.

I am going to start a Braves franchise in addition to the ones I have started. I want to experiment with a different roster. Do you know if True Sims roster is any good?

Yeah, you can go back to power 6 if you want. We are testing Contact at 7, power at 4 with solid hits at 5 and it seems like it is working well. But if you want to go back to power 6 that should be fine.

How are the V4 pitching sliders working with the Blue Jays?

Those rosters are generally good. I believe The Kid uses them so he would have more knowledge of them. But I know Cy does a lot of work on them. The only negative thing I could think of is that the players are totally rerated based on their formulas. They suggest rerating the entire draft class after the 1st season to align those new players to the roster. So that is extra work that I personally don't want to do. LOL I think you use the spreadsheet he provides and enter the age and potential and it will give you the ratings to edit. But if you are planning on doing a single season, then it shouldn't matter.

Does the CPU Consistency slider affect the Confidence meter? In my personal experience the CPU becomes absolutely un-hittable when the Confidence is full and it doesn't take much for them to get to full confidence. So I'm wondering if there's a way to either make the confidence matter less, or slow the rate in which the CPU's confidence goes up.

In my personal experience the CPU becomes absolutely un-hittable when the Confidence is full and it doesn't take much for them to get to full confidence. So I'm wondering if there's a way to either make the confidence matter less, or slow the rate in which the CPU's confidence goes up.

You would think it would affect it even though it doesn't say it in the slider description. I think it could matter because if you have low consistency, you tend to throw more hangers and pitches that are wild. And those hangers should hopefully be punished and that would lower the confidence.

In the game guide, they did talk about the difference in Simulation and Competitive modes. They said that like when you use meter with high confidence, the accuracy bar gets thicker (making it easier to hit the green). It says that pitchers can even start the game with high confidence from their previous games. But Competitive mode, raises the threshold to activate that thicker accuracy bar. Meaning, it takes more confidence level to give them that. I think it does say it affects Classic pitching to an extent as well. So I'm not sure if that could be something to consider? I don't know the affects of the game if you play offline franchise with competitive mode.

About pitching, I’ve noticed very little difference between versions 3 & 4. The slider is still a bit OP but I’m logging about 7-9 K’s per game.

Gotcha. I would think it would be the same way. You would see more hangers so that should prevent them from getting their confidence up so quick.
