These sliders are playing really good. The key one for me is strike frequency. At 4 I think it nerfs cpu pitching just enough to make hitting slightly easier. At 5 I was striking out too much even with contact and solid hits at 6. The only slider I might change is CPU power from 6 to 5. Feels like the cpu has a little too much power but I have to play more games I could have just had a bad stretch. CPU Contact at 6 is also a game changer. Good competitive AB’s from the cpu and I can still get strikeouts.

I’ve also lowered CPU power. Maybe it’s my lack of pitching skill, but was getting clobbered by the long ball. Considered leaving it and just upping my power to match, but liking where user offence is at the moment.

I’ve lowered CPU power to default and increased User timing to 6. Otherwise running sliders as in the OP. Oh, I also bumper injuries to 8.

They feel great. Had a tough stretch of teams to play against and felt I had some good and bad games. Won 2-1 series against the Rays, won 2-1 series against Houston (all close games) and got absolutely destroyed by Yankees 3-0 in the series. I only scored two runs in the three games and gave up a ton haha! Offence went totally dry and felt like everyone in their lineup was hitting for power!

Hopefully can rebound next series against the 11-11 White Sox.

So here’s a recap on the short season I’ve had so far. I’ve played 44 games with these sliders and this is how things are going:

These are my guardian team RATINGS rankings, not to be confused with the actual stats. I’m only sharing these so you can kind of compare how my team stats are in correlation to my teams ratings.

Contact: 10th
Power: 15th
Pitching: 5th
Defense: 9th
Speed: 5th

25-19 record in 1st place in the AL Central

Offense:

Batting average: .257 16th
Runs: 187 16th, 4.3 runs per game
Hits: 374, 24th 8.5 hits per game
Doubles: 70, 23rd 1.59 per game
Triples: 10, 11th .22 per game
Home Runs: 58, 10th 1.3 per game
Stolen bases: 40, 3rd 0.9 per game
Walks: 114, 29th, 2.5 per game
Strikeouts: 335, 7.6 per game
Slugging %: .430, 9th
OBP: .310 23rd

Defensive/pitching:

Errors: 14, 1st .25 per game (I started on default for the year, I’m up to 7 and it’s staying there)

ERA: 3.40 6th
Hits allowed: 355, 1st 8.0 per game
Runs allowed: 152, 4th 3.45 per game
HRs allowed: 39, 2nd 0.88 per game
Walks allowed: 105, 1st 2.40 per game
Strikeouts: 392, 1st 8.9 per game


Overall in extremely happy with how things are going, because I am having a blast..after all that’s why we play games, to have fun..not to constantly tinker with sliders after every game.

For the first time in I’m not sure how long I am not even concerned with sliders because they are playing so well for me.

I am beyond satisfied with every offensive stat. I haven’t even payed much attention to stats until making this post, it’s nice to see after 44 games everything is playing well.

Defensively with errors you will get more than I have shown. After about 25 games or so I went from default to what I have now in the OP. You will get a normal amount of errors.

Pitching I am also satisfied. I see a lot of your guys feed back you are saying the cpu offense is a bit too much, and I love seeing you say that because my stats say otherwise with a good pitching team. A huge factor to me when making a slider set is being able to have a variety of outcomes. Obviously we are having great variety when it comes to pitching. Also, you have to consider I’ve had series against the A’s, nationals, tigers, Rockies, and marlins. Not exactly teams who are going to mash you. I expect my era to go up at some point during the course of a long season.

My last point is this…. Do not panic when you have a game where you give up 14 runs. Do not panic when you score 3 runs over the course of 3 games and can barely muster 5 hits per game. I have already seen some highs and lows, they eventually even out.

Going to test these out, I just went thru a 9 game nightmare with the Cards... BABIP .194, misses+K's 42%, 3-9. Going to restart and see what happens. I was using Lowe's sliders, it was weird on legend it was horrible but when I tested HOF I raked (granted it was one game). I'm going to stick with legend for now, apart from my poor batting pitching felt fantastic they really did good this year.

These sliders are great but this is the problem with the show this year legend feels like it cheats you extraordinarily with the fielding, strike calls and a few other areas when your in a cold streak and HOF is too easy cuz the pitchers pipe too many pitches. Is what it is thankful for guys like rmiok that put in the work but ive seen enough for now

I did this switched to the option that says MLb average and it makes a big difference the game is so good its just the ups and downs of 162 that are tough to deal with and always have been i will still play it just try to avoid full seasons its too good of a game not to enjoy

Yes! I swear these are the best value seats in baseball man. $70. All you can eat food..chicken, burgers, nachos, pizza, ice cream, corn bread, baked beans, fruit and way more plus free soft drinks.

I will always get club seats from now on. The value is unreal.

Yeah no doubt. Before I saw the price and was like “heck no.” Then I found out it’s unlimited food. When I would get regular seats we would go we’d get dinner before the game and stuff you know?

Now we go an hour before first pitch and just eat here. The food is phenomenal too.

I started off with a dang 16-1 record previously and when I used these the first game I lost 9-5 largely because I missed location and hung a couple pitches and then won the next 6-3... It plays really fair... If you make a mistake it's punished and vice versa... Great job.

Made a very small change. User timing +1 to 6 and user solid hits back down to default

I’ve been using this for almost a week. It’s much better in my opinion but you need to make sure your pitch speeds suit you well. My rule of thumb is to always find what pitch speed you’re comfortable at….and then go one above that. I’m personally very comfortable with pitch speeds at 6. So I’ve elected to go for 7/7 pitch speeds.

I agree. Solid hits at 6 made hitting too easy. I was avg like 12+ hits a game . Timing +1 is way more balanced. I also put strike frequency back to 5. I still get walks and I feel like the CPU doesn’t throw as many meatballs. At 4 it felt like the CPU was always 1-0, 2-0 to each hitter.

What difdiculty is everyone on? Im looking for the best difficulty that would result in best sim games/stats. Kinda how all madden feels. Its a challenge but with good sliders can give an awesome sim feeling.

Mlb its hard for me to tell if things are too easy or settings are too hard. Right now im on HOF batting and Pitching using these sliders.

I know its all how my skill set is but i would like to play a challenging game that player ratings shine.
