    I am totally bummed out.

I LEARNED MY LESSON FROM THIS.

I will always have multiple copies
Ouch! Yes always have two copies. I have one save says Reds gm 40. Then the other will say Reds gm 39, and just alternate saving other each other. Or saved as scout reminding me I haven't scouted yet cause I have in the past simmed past Sunday not thinking before I set scouting.

Wow. That is a ingenious idea. You will always have a recent save available no matter what happens.

Bryan gave me the idea to save multiple profiles but I never did that with my franchise saves this year.

Once again what a game on my franchise reboot.
One of my runs came on a sacrifice fly the other on a groundout.

        Seamless gameplay.

Once of the posters on the main forum made a good observation on how sinkers are very effective this year. I think they are correct.

In my opinion the lower part of the strike zone is OP this year. I think that is the mystery we have been trying to solve dealing with the CPU comeback programming.

I tried out my theory with Senga. I pounded the low strike zone with Forkballs from Senga as my primary pitch. He was WAY more effective this time around that on my save that got deleted.

He ran into trouble the 8th and let the first two guys on. I brought in a reliever and he gave a up a single which scored a run and then gave up a walk. SO IT WAS BASES LOADED WITH NOONE OUT AND ONE RUN IN ALREADY.

I got out of the jam by just pounding the low part of the zone with pitches. I said to myself if they come back on me they are going to have to hit grounders for hits.

As you can see from the following sequence that strategy worked for me.
I struck out two batters and got a line out from hitting the low zone.

Hi again folks, just chiming back in with a small update. As you may recall I was seeing a low walk rate. Using set 3.0, HOF. Playing on QC, I have since tweaked Strike frequency to 4 and inadvertently, consistency down to 4 (only just realised).

Anyway my walk rate has went from 5.61% of ABs to 9.55%. My Strikeout No.s I’m still happy with. My 2B, 3B & HRs have all decreased. (May well be a cold streak). Current hitting stats:
            AVG- 0.267
            OBP- 0.336
            SLG- 0.370
            OPS- 0.706

I’ll give it a little while longer before I make any adjustments, but which slider would you recommend I tweak, should I want to increase extra base hits? Thanks

That is weird that you saw a decrease in extra base hits with lower consistency. Should be the other way around lol. I would probably raise solid hits if you want more extra base hits.

I have control and consistency set at 4 and cpu contact at 6.
How does that play out long term for the cpu offense

Haha, this was my thoughts exactly! Could very well be a cold streak. I’ll give it 10 or so more games before making a change, but I’m hopeful I don’t need to.

It should work fine. With a lower consistency you won’t give up too much meatballs and you might not give up a lot of walks. But the contact at 6 might compensate that and make the CPU more patient.

Do you think cpu contact at 7 would make the cpu more patient to draw walks with control and consistency at 4 and more potent to score

It is possible. Should raise their batting average as well.

With foul frequency set at 0. Does that increase or decrease CPU strikeouts? I believe someone said that foul frequency helped with keeping the ball fair?
Any suggestions on how to avoid to many computer strikeouts.
I use zone hitting with version 3 HOF set and that is working great.
I use meter pitching and for the most part seems to be ok
I just can’t figure out the cpu offense. I was using legendary and that did t seem any more difficult than HOF. I might not have enough of a sample size either.

Foul frequency doesn’t really give you more or less strikeouts directly. The lower the slider is, the chances of the ball down the line stays fair. With that being said, the higher the slider the chances of that ball being foul and extending the bat. Which indirectly, could lead to a strikeout on the next pitch or so. But that is hard to tell on those what ifs.

The contact slider would affect the strikeouts more.

Are you seeing just a weak CPU offense?
