Okay, like you said it could be an outlier. Well...here's an update! I didn't change anything and kept playing on. I played 2 games after the last game where I hit 5 HRs. Next game I lose 12-4 and hit 1 HR. The game after that I hit 0 HRs and won 2-1. (It's quite possible 2 of my hits in triples alley at Oracle would have been HRs in any other park.). Only gave up 3 hits after getting utterly destroyed pitching-wise by San Diego the previous 2 games. I'll keep at it with the sliders where they are...loving this game!! Your hard work has really made this enjoyable and a reason for me to finally get out of DD!!!

I am glad that they are working better for you. It is nice to see the variety.

Curious if you guys experience too many doubles? Only played a couple games and they are a little high, but know they could even out.

I am using default. But it is your preference. I was on 4 but I was starting to hit too good.

You seeing them on both sides? It should even out. What park were you playing in? That also factors in.

Its usually fairly quick.... Phillies jerseys from couple weeks ago was patched in shortly after they had reveal.

It sounds like you just had a good series. And you ran into a team that was struggling pitching. 11 HR in 7 games isn’t too crazy. It should even out. You had 3 games with no home runs. The Dodgers will be a good test for you and should balance the numbers out. When you only scored 2 runs that one game tells me that they will even out

Finished the dodgers series. Won 9-1 and then lost 7-3 and 4-2. Slightly harder to hit when Glassnow and Miller are throwing 102 mph

Miller struck me out 14 times lol. By far the most a starting pitcher has struck me out in many years.

10 of his 14 pitches in the first inning were 100 mph or more. I turned to my gf in bed and was like “I am f*cked” 😂. He hit 103 in like the 4th inning. I think that’s the fastest pitch I have ever seen in my mlb the show career

Another thing I am noticing this year is that when pitchers miss they REALLY miss and the mistake gets clobbered.

I feel that is really pronounced this year.

Another thing is never go down 2-0 in the count. The batter is waiting for your mistake over the plate to come across.

You have to get a strike over in the first two pitches so you are no worse than 1-1.

You also absolutely can not let the lead off man on .
You have to get that first out at all costs.

If the leadoff man gets on the CPU turns into the best manager ever and they come around to score somehow.

Small margin of error all the way around.

So I decided I would go ahead and purchase 24, and I’m really glad I did. It just feels better all around, and I’m loving it.

So far I’ve played 10 games. Still a small sample size I know, but I’m finding there to be a little too many home runs. 20 HRs in 10 games. I’m not too concerned as I’m willing to give it another 20 games or so just to see if things even out.

One question I do have to you guys. This is probably just on me, I’ve always struggled to draw walks. I guess I’m just too impatient haha. But I do find the CPU throwing too many strikes. My strikeout numbers are a little on the low side, but again I’m not too concerned. What slider would you decrease in order for the CPU to maybe throw more balls? Strike Frequency, Control or consistency?

Glad you are enjoying the game. It is amazing.

For the home runs, I would lower power or solid hits. You could also raise pitcher consistency so there would be less meatballs.

For the walks, I would recommend lowering cpu strike frequency. That would help. Another thing that helps me, is lowering pitch speed to 4. You can read the ball more and lay off more bad pitches. I wouldn’t mess with control and consistency as that might mess up other things.
