Yeah going to give them a try out now, not sure if I should use 2.0 or the 3.0 to start. Just gonna start with the 3.0 since they were the sliders I was using for myself.

You just watch the games? That would be cool to do if you are busy and can’t sit down and play. I have done that before watching the other playoff games or like the other wildcard gam

Sample size my friend. Give it 20-30 games. I’m seeing a wide variety of games as far as scoring.

Up 11-3 now. About to be 5-2 on the year with the Minnesota Twins. I’m going to for sure play through the next series against the dodgers. If I am dominating them I will have to switch things up. The first 3 games were fine. Think I lost like 4-3 against the Royals, then won 7-3 in extra innings. 4 runs in the top of the 10th. Then I got killed 10-2 in the series finale. I hit 0 home runs in those first 3 games. In these last 4 against the brewers and guardians I have hit like 11 home runs I believe. Now the highest batting average in MLB as a team

It sounds like you just had a good series. And you ran into a team that was struggling pitching. 11 HR in 7 games isn’t too crazy. It should even out. You had 3 games with no home runs. The Dodgers will be a good test for you and should balance the numbers out. When you only scored 2 runs that one game tells me that they will even out

Hopefully you’re right. Hit another HR and won 13-7. 12 home runs last 4 games. Batting .315 as a team. Correa already has a 5 hit game and Julien has a 5 hit game and a 4 hit game. Take Kiriloff and Buxton out and the other 11 guys are well over .400. This is just soooooo different for me. I’m not a good hitter. Like a .235 hitter on all star. I will see how the dodgers play. Bigger sample size

I like to watch some key games alongside mine. This year I want to try to play as one team in each division, playing like 4 games each month for each team that I would consider a key game so I can get to play and face as many players as possible.

I watched 2 games with the 3.0, wanted to watch the Dodgers/Padres games to open the season. Dodgers won 7-4 in game 1, they got after Yu Darvish quickly and he lost confidence and walked about 5 batters as well. Glasnow was solid and taken out in the 6th after a couple baserunners got on.

Dodgers won game 2, 2-0. Only change I made was moving down the CPU timing from 7 to 6 to try and lower foul balls. Padres fouled 19%, Dodgers fouled 23%. My only concern I want to mess around with is they let Yamamoto go 8 innings, he only allowed 2 hits and walked 3 and his pitch count was really low entering the 8th (around 80 pitches). But he allowed a double then a long walk at bat with 1 out and thought that was when they would remove him but they let him stay. Idk if they would've let him pitch the 9th because I decided to move the manager hook up to 10 in between the innings for them. Wondering if I should progressively up the manager hook slider for a starter after the 5th or something until they get pulled to prevent scenarios like that.

Yeah I'll mess with it when I play again and post any progress if it's notable. Curious too because I haven't seen many people talk about it, how well do the CPU do with defensive substitutions or pinch runners to rotate people?

I have seen them pinch run more in spots. You hardly see them pinch hit in games. You will occasionally see them pinch hit late in the game if it is a lefty on lefty matchup.

Yup... I've just played the Yankees with the jays.. Won it 2 1 in the 10th after neither team scored a single run lol. Swings and roundabouts

This year, I am playing Opening Day, then uses random.org to select 1-5 in my rotation and playing every 7th game. It works out to 25 games not counting the playoffs. It works out to about 3-4 games per month.

In previous years, I was playing every 5 games, but I am liking this new rotation and I think it will allow me to enjoy playing with some of my draft classes before the college football game comes out.

That is pretty cool. So on opening day, you obviously pitch with #1, if the random comes up 1, you play his next start?
