So far games are great especially when increasing pitch speed. I'm finding games against low tier teams challenging while also blowing them out a few games. While mid tier teams are competitive. Just lost a series to the giants 1-2 playing away.

I definitely went to SF thinking I'd sweep them.

Yeah I probably will. I just want to get a few more games in. Right now they are hitting .293 in 10 games with 8/5/7/0/5. I would rather have them on the higher side knowing it will probably settle in. But they are only averaging 5.9 K/game. That is with the Yankees pitching staff. But the ERA is 3.68.

So what set are you using? Is the OP up to date?

I have updated the OP to 5.0. The only change was raising CPU Contact to 8. If you have been getting good results with it at 7, you can leave it. JCar said he was using it at 8 and I tried it and I like the extra punch from the CPU.

I raised Human Contact to 6 and raised Human Foul Frequency to 3 on the hitting side.

Does anyone know what happened to the Fidelity to Reality roster thread? I went in there just now for the first time in a while and noticed it’s not there.

I have been using live rosters and noticed the strikeouts are low in the simulation. Teams have been averaging 6.5 K per game. I ran a couple of different tests with the Fidelity to Reality roster and the strikeouts are normal back to 8.5 per game.

There are no sliders that fixes that. Looks like it’s the player ratings.

Cycloniac’s roster is so good! Fully edited rosters… Re-rates, equipment, etc.

Hey do the error sliders help? I’ve been on default error setting and have had like 5 errors in a month of games lol. How are you finding these settings ?

The error sliders don’t really necessarily give you more or less errors. It is more about the clean dives. Like infield field errors, the higher you go, the more infield dives you see that the ball gets trapped or bounced away from the infielder leading to more infield hits. Not errors. The lower the slider, the more times the fielder dives for it cleanly and has a chance to get the batter out. It doesn’t make much sense that it controls that.

The most realistic error numbers is raising the infield throwing errors slider up. But most of your errors would be from the errant throws. So if you want to see more errors and don’t care, raise that one.

I feel like they come and go. I’ll get a stretch where I get one every few games in a row or then go a week without seeing one.

Hey I wanted to post on here how much I love these sliders. I had to actually down the CPU hitting in my franchise. I've played every pitch of every game and wanted to post my stats.

But I've got a huge problem and don't know where to post it. My franchise file will not load because it is corrupt. And will not load. Has this happened to anyone here? Is there a fix?

That stinks. I don’t think there is a fix. In the future, you could create different save points for backup. Like every Sunday you make a new save file and maybe have 2 weekly files you keep saving over. Then if your daily one goes bad you can use the weekly one.

I saw a couple of videos on how to Repair Console Storage & Corrupted Drives. I have no clue how efficient it is but maybe it worths to have look.

Is there a trick to classic pitching? I can’t get a pitch within 10 inches of where I’m aiming. With good pitches too. For example playing with Flaherty it’s just throw and pray it’s not down the pipe or a foot off the plate with any pitch type.

You can raise pitcher consistency, that will help you hit the targets more often. I would raise it one at a time and test it out with multiple pitchers.

Also any suggestions on sim games computer pitchers? I’m using the suggest sim sliders but still seeing a lot. 3 weeks into the season and already 7 complete games around the league. Just seems like some huge innings are being put up.

The only thing we can do since hook is already at 10 is to lower CPU starter Stamina. Try 3 or 4.

I’ll give this a try today. Just soo many complete games when simming. And from guys that have no business throwing them. Like Charlie Morton has 2 complete game shut outs in 4 starts.
