Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I have a set I based on SBs sliders. A few adjustments here and there?
The CPU offense can be weak. You have to accommodate for that in the slider set. Pitching can dominate, especially with the first 2 starters in the rotation.
I will tell you this, though. Getting CPU vs CPU to a realism state is not easy! Much of it depends on what roster set you are using? Why? Because some classic roster makers have the majority of players rated in the 80s and 90s with quite a few 99s. Others have more widespread range if ratings with many average players rated anywhere from the 60s up to the 70s.
This makes a huge difference on how games play out. The rosters with the lower rated players will have few runs scored and low power stats. The higher rated rosters can see a total of 20-30 hits in a game with sometimes 6-9 doubles and 4-6 home runs.
24 is not easy to balance out for CPU vs CPU. As stated, much of it is dependent on what roster you test it with.Comment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I am going to try to get my Spring Training started today.
It will be good to start playing some baseball once again.
I can find out the best place to place Juan Soto in my lineup.
I am going to start him out batting in the second position.Comment

I’m a firm believer that your best hitter should always hit secondComment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I agree 1000 percent !!!!
In modern baseball your best hitter needs to bat as many times as possible. The 4th or 5th slot is no longer suitable for your best player. So much has changed in baseball since I was a child .Comment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
First game of Spring Training franchise.
All the runs came on 2 run home runs. Soto hit TWO 2 run homers for me and Yellich hit one for the Brewers.
I had to pitch out of multiple jams. Diaz got the save with guys on 2nd and 3rd. He had a rocky 9th inning.

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I just wanted to show the results from my first couple of games.
You definitely cannot miss with your pitches because the CPU will get on a roll against your pitcher.
Infield timing has to be precise. Your infielders have to get the ball quickly or else the runner will beat out the play.
You have to stay LOW in the zone and hopefully you can field a outfield that run down balls...cut off balls to the gap and catch pop flies before they drop in.Comment

Re: S & B’s MLB 2024 Simulation Sliders
I think pitch speeds should totally be based on your ability. Some guys can rake at 7 or 8 and others struggle at 5. It's purely cosmetic in the game so you should settle on numbers that provide the best results realism wise for you.Comment
