That is user preference. I go between 4 and 5.

I usually go 6 for Fastball and 7 for breaking ball.

I used Quick Counts for the first time last night. I played 3 innings and literally every count was 1-1. Is that normal for this year? I remember getting a ton of variety in years past. If all the counts are 1-1 it doesn't seem like it would save much time.

Yeah, most counts are 1-1 this year. Other years, that was the more common one but it was more variety in years past. I would say you get a handful of 1-2 or 2-1 counts and maybe 1 or 2 3-1 counts in a game.

You probably save maybe 10-15 minutes each game? But if you have 2 hours to play, that might make a difference between 2 or 3 games.

I usually only play about 1 game a day so I'll probably not use it much again. If I start running short on time I'll just Quick Manage the last two innings or so.

I wish they would let us use quick counts on certain times. I would love to pitch every pitch and then use quick counts while batting.

Struggling with striking out as the batter. I have the least strikeouts and but also the worst batting average in the league currently.

Should I adjust the timing slider? I do have fastballs and breaking balls speed at 7 currently.

                  Timing/Directional hitting?

I always put timing to 0 for user personally so you can try that. But I do Allstar hitting level. If using timing and not striking out but low average I'd say give it time and you'll see guys get hot.

Are you on HOF? Maybe try pitch speeds at 6? Sounds like you are making contact but its not good contact.

hi Thanks for posting all of this.. Im on Legend/meter and for the past 3 years have such a hard time pitching to CPU. they either put up 2 runs a game or I move sliders just one tick too far and they put up 8 a game. can never find middle ground. last year towards the end of the season I moved sliders as far as I could while they still get 2 runs a game then I dropped every pitchers ratings by 10 and it helped, I lost in the Wild Card but that is better than breezing through playoffs and a meaningless WS win. may be the solution this year, as well, just cant every figure out the sliders. any suggestions?

when you say power at 5 is that default or is that 5 ticks to the right

I have used meter a couple of times in other seasons and I feel like you will eventually be able to be too good at it and always hit the green. And you’ll do good with any pitcher cause you’ll be good or perfect timing on the meter or pinpoint. But I get that some people want to have control of that. It is probably the most boring setting n if you can hold the button down long or short to control the effort.

could using classic be my solution?

We got this tip from Dowie to help with the CPU SP. Before you start a new series with the team, you raise the CPU's starting pitchers Stamina by 10. That will get them to pitch longer in game and not get pulled too early. If they are at 92, raise it to 99. At the end of the series, don't forget to bring the stamina back down and do it for the next team you play.

isnt there a slider for this?
