I was reading so I started working on moving players in all the mlb trades so far this season. I will wait until after the trade deadline to save it as a QuickStart. It may not be perfect as I will miss some DFA or waiver releases but the big trades will be there. I have everything up to tonight minus the unconfirmed trade of Hamels.

Yeah so moving players isn't going to work....what happened was that when I made the RL moves, teams then DFA'd and released players. Most of them weren't good, but that's what it did.

Any suggestions Brad on how I could fix this? If not, I'll stop the project and just do the Tulo deal when I start my Jays game

League Settings > Functions, bottom of the middle column: There is an option to prevent the AI from making any roster changes and another one to set all teams under your control.

Thank you Perceptor! Following your thread on the OOTP forums. Your file will really get me into OOTP as I've been holding off on jumping in so far.

              Re: ***The Official OOTP Thread***

I have half the MLB teams done but likely won't be done the rest until Sunday as I'm going camping tomorrow. A few notes so far:

-I have not altered ratings nor the minor leagues unless teams signed FA's to minor league deals.

-I haven't altered any uniform numbers and am not sure I will

-I haven't touched the rosters other than making trades and releasing players or demoting players. I didn't fiddle too much with players that were constantly moving up and down. Too much work and if someone wanted to do it, go right ahead

-I have disabled AI lineup changes so you'll need to change that once final rosters are done

I'll continue to update and I apologize in advance if the rosters aren't 100% accurate. I used the MLB Transaction tracker, but realize I will miss moves here and there.

-As for injuries, I haven't quite decided. I think if the player suffered a major injury early on, I'd add it...Thoughts?

Thanks everyone and I'm doing the best I can to get the best rosters done as possible. I'm also open to feedback as this is my 1st foray into rosters for this awesome game

I'm loving this game, but something happened last night that boggled my mind. Oakland put Billy Butler on waivers, he wasn't performing well at all. I grabbed him to help out with my DH, but just for fun decided to shop him the day the waiver claim went through. Guess who offered me Josh Reddick for the player they just waived! Of course I didn't do the deal even though Reddick is more valuable than Butler to me, it would have felt really fake.

                        Crazy, crazy game just now.

Backstory: my Oakland A's are tearing it up, over .700 WPCT just after the draft. I'm just the manager. Coco Crisp injured for two months, but the pitching has been lights-out and the hitting's been solid.

Early going: at the Red Sox, with Kazmir on the mound for me. He started the year horribly but has really been strong in May-June. We score 1 in the 2nd, but Kaz goes down with an injury in the bottom of the second, leading to two Red Sox runs in that frame and 4 more in the 3rd against Jessie Hahn... who's a starter, my #2, but forced into relief duties to save my overworked pen.

Middle Innings: Craig Gentry, who's been poor at bat all year and was down in AAA for a few weeks, hits a two-run shot in a three-run 5th inning. Hahn really settles down, carrying us through the 7th with no more runs.

Late game: We trade runs in the 8th, so it's not looking good going into the 9th down 7-5 with Koji Uehara coming in to pitch. But, you guessed it—with one out and two on, Marcus Semien (who is hitting BELOW the Mendoza line) drives in both runners with a clutch double. Tyler Clippard holds down the 9th, Ike Davis and Billy Butler hit back-to-back doubles in the 10th, and Sean Doolittle closes down a great game.

Hey guys I have a question. OOTP 16 is only $9.99 during the World Series and I was thinking about getting it. I still have OOTP14 and like it just fine, but was gonna ask if getting 16 is worth it. Have there been many improvements? I'll read some reviews later but I was just wondering what you guys thought about it

Lots of improvements. Yes, I'm biased since I work for them, but here's the newsletter that announced all the new features. The MLB license alone is a great addition.
