Re: All Star Baseball... First Impressions & Questions for those with the game
So far I just played one inning and there seems to be improvements to the gameplay, most notably is the ability for both you and the CPU pitchers to go deeper in the counts...they seem smarter. One thing that caught my eye was several check swing appeal plays that really captures the suspense of did he go all the way around??......I have to play a little more to comment deeper on the gameplay....the only thing I noticed that I am not all that excited about are 2 little things.....There seemed to be a slight vacuum effect on a grounder that was going to the left of the 2nd basemen yet he scooped it up without leaning to his left...it kinda magically entered his glove as if it was hit right in front of him...But dont worry, I have also seen a couple of ss fielding across their body in the hole to stab a ground, plant his feet and fire...well done. The other thing I noticed was the addition of the umpire calls adds to the game.....the crowd SEEMS very similar to last year's version tho....But keep in mind its only the 1st inning....Finally, there is a missing 'glove popping' sound when your 1st basemen catches a throw from an infielder...it's not a big deal, but you almost expect to hear the popping of the first basemen's mitt when the ball gets fired over to him.
I'll keep givin more stuff
Also nice is the fact that now the mistery has been removed from what player ratings are during a game...you can simply bring up the pause menu and look at player ratings, however im not sure if you can view the OPPOSING TEAM's ratings....Ill look further
The basestealing seems better handled too...the catcher threw a strike down to 2nd and the ss applied the tag onto a headfirst sliding player.....Last year, I remember the fielder would catch the throw to the bag on some steals before the runner even got halfway down the basepath....
Ill keep you postedComment

Re: All Star Baseball... First Impressions & Questions for those with the game
Can you trade minor leaguers from team tpo team?
Are minor leaguers accessible in regular roster manegement(non-franchise mode)? This would help with roster accuracy.
Who are some of the more noteble players in the FA pool?
Are there alot of FA's.
and
Any surprising player omissions?
Thanks.Comment
