    mns,

That's cool..we all have different likes and dislikes. I am sure HH or WSB will be good for you. Lots of choices this year and that's good for all of us.

    Happy gaming!

Yes there is a futures team, but no game. About it not being a HR fest, I have yet to be convinced. It's a homerun fest IMO.

Thanks for the feedback and replies everyone..

A few more questions if you dont mind.

            Are there gameplay sliders?

How is the create a player mode? Are all created players 18 years old, or can you set age?

How is the Presentation (overlays, stats, general appearance)?

Hmmm...ok...interested if anyone else with the game is finding this o the higher levels? I am not.

I guess it all depends on your settings, level, using cursor or not, etc...

                    Dick_Smalls,

You crack me up... even though we disagree on our football games, you are the only guy that has actually timed artificial players. I love it.

Last year ASB rated high the first times I played it. The only few things the stuck out were the lack of walks. Then the homer thing came into play. So I think an 8.5 is an accurate guage right now. Keep up the work though...looking forward to reading your assessment.

Gameplay PACE is an interesting question....This game feels to carry thru a bit quicker. Last year I simply couldnt play the game on NORMAL mode so I had to switch to FAST but wasnt happy about it cause it speeded up all the animations BEFORE the pitch and it looked a little funny and unnatural. But it seems like this year's NORMAL pace is about as quick as last year's FAST setting....it's hard to tell after one game. But what I can say is, just simply the little added atmosphere like umpire calls, and such make the pace feel quicker and more alive...whether or not its the case, I dont know. All I can say is that, the game doesnt seem to feel like its dragging the way it did last year.

To sum it up....After playing a single game and going to do something else, it's the kind of game that I wanted to get right back in and play another....Last year, I almost felt a bit drained after completing a game.

I will have to play some more to make deeper assessments of the game. Tonight I am really lookin forward to starting up a Franchise, create myself and see what the Franchise, GM features of this game have to offer.....that could change or strengthen some of my opinions further. Next to gameplay on the field, Career and Franchise depth is one of my favorite and most crucial areas of a game's strength.

Im really enjoying the variety in the gameplay of this version. It even furthers that "Anything can happen' feel of last year's game. I especially like the variety of ways a basemen will field a throw to the bag......adds alot of exciting unpredictability to the routine stuff.

JROD...just out of curiousity, did we differ on Football opinions?....The reason I ask is cause I recently changed my opinion of the 2 major titles after further gameplay.....Im curious
