Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
This game has really got me interested now, and it's frustrating that there is just not alot of info out there about a game that is being released this week!!!
So I went looking up videos on youtube from the japanese version and I really like the gameplay.
A few videos have a cool fielding camera angle, it's like a diagonal overhead view towards first base, rather then the traditional overhead center fielding camera, and I thought it was pretty cool. I hope they have a camera angle like that you can use. Also the crowd chants are loud and noticeable in the videos which was cool.
Also looks like you can have the camera view behind the pitcher or the standard behind the batter. But again this is for the japanese version.
I wish I could find videos of the Major League version of the game that was released in Japan, because I think there was from what I read. Or videos outside of gamespots.
I'm new to this series and not famliar with it, so forgive me if I sound like a newbie.Last edited by falcons2003; 09-30-2007, 09:41 PM.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
In all seriousness, I haven't run across one PS2 game that didn't work with the older $600 PS3 - the one with the Emotion Engine. I would say it will, but you'll probably have to wait until the game is out to be absolutely certain. As for the newer ones that don't have the EE...compatibility for those is an entirely different story, and I wouldn't want to guess.
Also, I still have my PS2 to fall back on (thanks to Guitar Hero) if for some reason it doesn't work. So I'm not buying this blindly hoping it'll work.Last edited by bcruise; 09-30-2007, 11:23 PM.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
Check the official site.
They needed to do a better job then that. They give you the basic features gamestop and ign articles gave you from the sept. previews.
The only video on the site is a short short trailer under 1 minute (I think only 40 secnds).
At least Gamespot has 2 gameplay videos 1 minute long.Comment

Oh I have, but come on bro, let's be honest, there isn't very much there.

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
So we should be getting this game this week, right?
I have NBA 2k8 and BioShock but I still want to play this game. I hope GameStop calls me tomorrow."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
Umm, wait a minute, I misread...
That's the delivery date of 10/2, not the Ship date. If Amazon's release date is right, I could have it tomorrow. However as you guys mentioned 2k's ship date on the game is after that.
Who knows...maybe they (Amazon) haven't updated their site with the new release date. All I know for sure right now is that the game hasn't shipped yet, and for it to arrive tomorrow it would have to ship later today.
Sorry about all the confusion.Comment
