...and to think how everyone can only gripe about how the graphics, gameplay, animations, blahblahblah, are the same as last years. Little do they know how much great stuff has been added to make this game deeper than any other game on the market. Everyone's saying "oh WSB is gonna have the best and deepest franchise mode.." I think not

Trying to lock up players into LONG TERM contracts is actually a solid strategy to avoid SALARY ARBITRATION hearings where things could potentially get ugly for both sides...this is just too cool. Was anyone able to read the ASB RULEBOOK yet? Alot of great TIPS in there.Comment

yea, dick smalls that rulebook just shows that a lot of work was put into ASB. This game is freakin insane it is so deep. It is without a doubt the best baseball game i have ever played and i think people will see just how great it is when the other two baseball games come out and ASB is able to be compared to them. i dont see how any of these upcoming games could outdo ASB.Comment

Re: I got the ASB 2004 GOOSEBUMPS after THIS!....
It's funny you should say that because I was thinking along the same lines....Im a sports gaming junkie, and I usually get caught up in all the hoopla around release time with all the multiple games and usually get one of each to get a different feel and perspective from each publisher but then find myself weeding them all out and trying to stick with just one game and concentrate my playtime with my favorite one. I was really anticipating the other games such as WSB, HH and even MVP to see what improvements they have made to compete with my last year's favorite ASB, but the more I play ASB and the more I uncover with this deep, deep franchise and see all the extra little details of the sport so maticulously implemented, my urge to run out and grab the 'other' baseball titles has lessened. I probablly will still get them eventually, but I am no longer on the edge of my seat counting the days for their release.
I think reading the ASB RULEBOOK and seeing how much depth has gone into this game just makes my appreciation for the onfield play that much more rewarding.....It's really exciting to see the gameplay experience get more authentic with the more strategy you put into it.
It's going to take quite alot for another game to curb this enthusiasm I have for ASB, I look forward to playing each new game in my franchise more than any baseball title I have previously owned, and that is a true testament of a classic game.Comment

I was on the fence as to which game to get
After reading these post, my mind is made up. I can't wait to go out and get ASB. I want to leave work now.Comment

I couldn't have said that better myself. I'm the EXACT same way.... I took back HH04 for PS2, got ASB for Xbox and planned to take it back for HH for Xbox. Not too sure about that now. I LOVE this game.

Re: I got the ASB 2004 GOOSEBUMPS after THIS!....
Thanks small dick...uhh, I mean, dick small, this game is so great...and I haven't even played it yet. PS2 comes out tomorrow
But when it does, I'm all over it! I knew this game was going to be the best baseball game out there, hands down. MVP looks good, but no game can compete with the depth of ASB's franchise....IMO, if you're gonna make a sports franchise, then put all the details, rules, and specs into the game. ASB has done that, I hate to look forward already...however, now that there is incredible depth in this game....just think about next year, add some more touch ups to the AI, and animations, and add online play....OMG, ASB is the greatest!Comment
