Re: PYS5 - FAQ, Manual help, etc..

Just got back into this, mannnnn i forgot just how good this game really is. I know it's not perfect (hardly any walks just like Power Pros) but it's still a great game. Thanks to all who put together this translation guide.

Anyone who still plays and want to get an online game going send me a PM.

Edit: Just as I was complaining about walks I have had 5 in my last 3 games (better than none)

I not this maybe a long shot, but does anyone know how to switch to the alternate uniforms?

Edit: Never mind, from what I can see this can not be done during pennant mode.

That last plan sucks balls. japanse spelling is wayy to confusing. I have a new plan though I am going to write down on paper every dam japanese word i seee in the game and bring it to someone to be translated. I am on a mission to traslate this into english and will share it with you all when im done. ill get this done soon.

Has anyone played the new one the came out in DEC 08? Is there any difference. Otherwise i think i might pick up PYS5 as i can get it for under 60$. Does anyone still play this game online? Would i be able to get a game?

Re: PYS5 - FAQ, Manual help, etc..

Started playing this game again after a 3 month hiatus. I'm in Franchise mode and am about 30 games into my Chunichi Dragons 1st season.

Forgot how much fun this game was! I'm an MLB the Show guy but will be playing this again alongside the Show.

                I play in Manager Mode.

One thing that really helped me follow this game and enjoy it was my purchase of a japaneses baseball guide that includes all the info from the 2008 season, player rosters and stats, overviews (In English!), etc. Knowing who the players actually are, since the game uses real rosters, makes a huge difference.

I just finished updated all of the roster for the 2009 season.
I created all the new "Gaijin" for the '09 season (Leicester, Alfonzo, Wasdin etc.)
And I finally found the right settings for me.

I started my franchise this week-end (playing as the Orix Buffaloes).

                  I am no 3-5 (with 1 draw).

                  What a game....

Some advice to pitching properly. I get many hits and I make many walks.
When I pitch, it appears this sign --> `!´ over the pitcher. Do you know what it means?

It is a two stage process. The first stage is to press the pitch button to deliver the pitch. The second stage is to press the button again when the collapsing circle closes on the pitch target icon. If you do it perfectly, the icon will be small and flash. If you just miss, the icon will be a little larger. If miss by too much, the "!" icon will pop up indicating that you made a mistake. In this case, that icon means you just delivered a fat pitch and if the batter can get to it, it will probably be a homerun.
