still wondering if I should get this. It is coming out earlier this year, which is good. I got last year's and I just didn't play it a whole lot. I didn't really put in a lot of effort to try to figure out a lot of stuff though.

Re: Pro Yakyu Spirits 2010 pre-release thread
Truth be told, if you have last year's version and you are not a big Japanese league fan it's probably not that necessary to get this year's version. Really, the same thing can be said for almost every yearly sports game. Save your moneyPro Yakyu Spirits Translation Site

Re: Pro Yakyu Spirits 2010 pre-release thread
Ya regarding the FAQ, the best thing to do in my opinion is to combine all the previously made translation from BigManZam and Paarka and the miscellaneous translation from myself into 1 big document file which can then be updated and slowly turned into a full fledge, final version of the 2010 FAQ. im not sure how to contact BMZ and Paarka though but I dont think they would mind as long as we give them full creditPro Yakyu Spirits Translation Site

Don't forget I can help out too, I should be able to assist with some of the basic menus and settings as they relate to exhibition and pennant modes, as well as the user settings and VP shop menus...
BTW the official site was updated with some more info, screens, and official rosters for all teams, just highlight the rosters and throw them into a google translate, it really looks like they got all the Gaijin (foreign/non-native japanese players) into the rosters this time!!!

Muka, thought I'd take you up on your offer of translation help.
Since many of us play Pennant Race, could you go to the below link from the official site and tell us what the new features are described in the four panels displayed? Thanks a lot in advance!

Re: Pro Yakyu Spirits 2010 pre-release thread
from left to right..
play what you want and how you want to in season mode
you can play "digest" mode or jump right into climax series any time you want!
same thing as PSY6.. you can play as manager, player, or the whole team, watch etc.. anything u start the daily match
up to 2010 February, all pro (veteran) or rookies are in the rosters
manage, develop them , and you can "awaken" them
more thorough setting about the schedule
the one that is highlighted:
play only the first game for each team , so you only play against each team once per month
and if your team's standing changes after july, you have to play the games
i can't wait for this in april :oComment

Re: Pro Yakyu Spirits 2010 pre-release thread
I *****ly made the plunge!
After two years of watching this game in awe.. I'm buying a copy of PYS6 from one of the members on this site!
I decided to go with 6 because I think having the WBC mode with familiar players will help extended this game for me.
Looking forward to *****ly playing this game!

Re: Pro Yakyu Spirits 2010 pre-release thread
On a related note, to see how authentic this game is, you need to watch an actual Nippon Pro Baseball (NPB) game. the game really is like a broadcast of a game. Unfortunately, the NPB has cracked down on people webcasting their games on Justin.Tv so for non-Japanese fans, it is hard to watch a game this year. However, here is a clip from you tube you can check out to see real game action:
I was able to watch a game on the pacific league's website this morning (FYI: for those looking, a 6PM start in Japan is 2 AM here on the west coast of the US). I see one change to the actual league that didn't make it into the game (at least not in the screenshots we've seen so far): Japan now mirrors the rest of the world counting balls and strikes as opposed to strikes and balls as it used to. So now in Japan a 1-2 count will mean 1 ball, 2 strikes instead of the 1 strike, 2 balls it will be in PYS10.Last edited by renojedi; 04-01-2010, 07:18 AM.Currently playing Axis Football (2020) as the Nebraska ThunderComment
