Re: How is your franchise doing in OOTP11?

Ended up playing for 4+ hours last night and getting through the rest of my season. After a great 48-40 start, just 2 games behind St. Louis, heading into the AS Break I thought I might be poised for a great run in the 2nd half. Nope .

I proceeded to **** the bed in the 2nd half with the worst record in all the big leagues. I ended up at 75-87, finishing 4th in the NL Central.

During the offseason, I've dealt Ryan Doumit and cash for a hard throwing AAA Reliever, a quality SP prospect, and a switch hitting 1B.

I avoided arbitration with Zach Duke, Lastings Milledge (who was great for me), Joel Hanrahan, and Andy LaRoche by signing them to extensions. The other arbitration cases I ended up winning.

I'm now in free agency and looking to pick up both a 2B and SS, upgrade my OF depth, pick up a utility IF, and get a decent SP.

Re: How is your franchise doing in OOTP11?

Put Matt Diaz on waivers two days ago, he has been claimed by Pitt or Milkwaukee... doing terrible as a lefty specialist hitter, so I'm probably bringing Clevlen up who's absolutely raking in the minors. I'll give you guys a more thorough update at the end of the month.

Also, I'm thinking I shouldn't have played with coaches. I'm worried that they may be doing something bad with the players in the lower minors. For example, Bethancourt is playing bad and he's supposed to be a 4 and a half star potential catcher. Granted, he's only 20 but still. Also, with coaches on, I see Derek Lowe batting .333 with 5 RBI's and 4 doubles.

6-11 so far with the White Sox, just like real life. Too bad in OOTP that Juan Pierre is out for 2 mos and Gordon Beckham has 3 weeks left with a strained hamstring.
Thank you to all the men and women who serve in this great nations armed forces.

I feel like starting over. Just because I don't like having the coaches on, and I think I need to change around the settings a little bit. All-in-One mod got updated BTW.

            40-61 at the trade deadline.

Injuries have really hurt. Season is lost, and this team needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

I have begun trading away aging veterans and players who don't fit what I am trying to accomplish.

David Eckstein, Chris Young, and Jon Garland were most recently sent packing. I did get Manny Parra from Milwaukee in exchange for Chris Young.

Lost Matt LaPorta for the season with torn ankle ligaments. Which was too bad. In 88 games he was hitting .304 with 15 HR's and 54 RBI.

I had no use for a 35 year old 2B in the last year of his contract with this team. It's a complete rebuild.

Nick Hundley got sent down to AAA. He was hitting a whopping .188 midway in to July.

You wouldn't even recognize the lineup.

Matt LaPorta and Everth Cabrera did make the All Star Team. Cabrera is having a ridiculous season.

I did a complete rebuild for the Texas Rangers so that I can better identify with the young team as it grows and I learn to manage over the seasons. Its fun to start with young eager prospects that have been hand picked.

Re: How is your franchise doing in OOTP11?

Starting a new save... realistic MLB league playing as the Braves. 20-80 rating, scouts/coaches on, etc. Should be fun. I was going to write up a dynasty report in the Dynsty HQ but that's too time consuming. I'll update you guys every month or so.

                    My lineup is:
                    SS Escobar
                    2B Prado
                    3B Chipper
                    C McCann
                    1B Glaus
                    CF McLouth/LF Diaz
                    LF Cabrera/CF McLouth
RF Heyward (starting him here til he matures into the role)

                    Rotation:
                    Lowe
                    Jurrjens
                    Hanson
                    Hudson
                    Kawakami

                    Bullpen:
                    CL Wagner
                    SU Saito
                    Moylan
                    O'Flaherty
                    Medlen
                    Chavez

Scrap that Braves one... I think I'm going to start a Giants one.

101 wins and out in the 1st round of the playoffs. My farm system is now loaded with top prospects for later trades. My fan rate is up to 87 from the low 70s. I look forward to seeing how my young team comes out after a full year together. The owner is demanding WIN now for year 2.
Also $40 million + in profit for my team.

I've joined an online league called Over the Mound, and I took over a team called Ruston Rabbits. After this year, I plan on changing the team name to symbolize change (with me coming in and all). I don't want to change it too much so I was wondering if there is something any of you guys can come up with that I could change Rabbits to. And I might switch cities as well.

I was thinking (City Name) Jackrabbits?

I don't know but my current logo is this:

So in my OOTP league, I was trying to play out every game but that's just way too much of a hassle, lol. Now I'm going to start another league (again) but this time I'll probably try to build a dynasty with the Marlins or the Nationals or some other crappy team like that.

Just started my franchsie with my favorite team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Currently at 3-3, I will toss an update here from time to time if you guys are interested. Here's the current roster..

                                Pitchers:
