I've played The Show since 08 and while it is great it still doesn't feel as good as MVP 2005 did. I hope that MVP makes a return. I'm in if it does.

While of course this is welcome news.
I sure as heck hope they find a way to offer a shorter season mode because their inability to do it in their basketball and hockey titles is a real turn off
I have neither the time nor the inclination to play a 162 game season and simming games just does not cut it.

EA's MVP series was #1 when it left and I'm sure people would give a fresh title a try but the game sales for baseball have been bad the last couple of years. NHL 11 sold over 1 million copies between the 360 and PS3. I'm not sure the Show and MLB 2K will be able to say that this year.

Just looking at 10 week sales figures from VG Chartz, MLB 2K9 sold 335,000 on the 360 and 2K11 did only 155,000. Show 09 on PS3 did 378,000 in its first 10 weeks while Show 11 only did 260,000 (note MLB 2K11 on PS3 has only done 90,000 to date!) And this is despite more hardware being out on the market. Not a good trend.
I believe this is because many people have given up on mlb2k. Too many years of bad 2k baseball. The show selling less maybe because some feel the game has gotten a bit stale. That's my opinion..
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

I've been waiting for MVP to come back for years. I still keep my original Xbox so I can play MVP '05 and NCAA '06 to get my baseball fix every summer. 2K has been nothing but a disappointment year after year (I gave up on it after 2K8). PLEASE BRING BACK MVP EA!!!!

The Show Is The Best And Finds A Way To Get Better Every Year, But I Did Love MVP, I would love to see a Legends game, that would be the best or some sort of combo little league, high school, college baseball game

                Very good baseball game.

I prefer it to The Show, actually.

Peter Moore informed us that the "majority" of the team that worked on the MVP Baseball series are still employed at EA Sports.
News to me. Looking over the MVP 04/05/06 credits, I'd say 25-30% of those people are still at EA.

I only want to see it if they bring back the 05 sound track. I rock my Iroc Z, I rock it well.

Please! Xbox owners need an alternative to the terrible 2K series. Shame Microsoft hasn't done anything with the High Heat Baseball license

If you're frusturated with 2K baseball, definitely check out MLB Bobblehead Pros in the Xbox Live Arcade.

I know the graphics are a bit cartoony, but the hitting and pitching system are extremely realistic, and you can tweak the gameplay sliders to give you sim results.

Very fun baseball game for only $10.

Please let this happen..I have been waiting 6 years now for it. I literally, when I picked up 2k anything with baseball, could not make it through 3 innings before quitting...that is how bad it was.

MVP, I could play forever...and the great thing about MVP, is that even people that didn't like baseball, and hated baseball games, loved this game. I have hours of memories playing with friends at school, as well as hours of franchise and owner mode games. It was the perfect balance of pitching and hitting, and the hitting system was damn near perfect. You try to pull an ouside pitch, you actually did roll over on it and ground out to third...however, you go with it, and square it up, you have a great chance at shooting it into RF for a basehit...j

Easily, my favorite sports game of all time was MVP05.

I'd love for EA to join the baseball mix again. We've been lucky enough to have a tremendous baseball game on PS3 but a little more variety can't hurt. I miss the days of picking up a different game every year because that was the best of the crop or at least a decent change of pace. Going from ASB to WSB to MVP to The Show to Power Pros in the span of like five years rocked. Since then it's been The Show, The Show, The Show, The Show...

MVP Baseball 2005 was great. Probably my favorite sports video game of all-time (with March Madness 2004). I would love to see EA bring it back...The Show has been a great game the last couple years, though. Competition is always good!
