IMO, mvp ranks as one of the most overrated sports games of all time. That being said I am all for more choices on the market.

Very fun baseball game for only $10.
Agreed. Great game. Plays a fabulous game of baseball.

I would love to see this game return but people have to realize that it's not going to be great right away. MVP 2005 was amazing but let's not forget it took time to get that way.

Plus the direction of EA's sports games worries me. I am not confident they will do a good job with it. See NCAA and Madden.

With that being said I do want competition in gaming and would like to see it return. I'm just not expecting 2005-like right away.

Plus, with MLB restrictions we may not see an owner mode with accurate markets. I love 05 though and hope they have some form of owner mode. I'm in year 2 with the Nats and am about $1.8 in the red, despite a $43 million payroll. This is the only game where you are "forced" to watch your spending habbits. I mean, if you were a large market team and had a bad season, you would suffer greatly as you had high expenses and low income (i.e. lack of attendance). Great game!

It's people like u that we have Madden at it's state, arcade style of crap. U like baseball and football for a reason, so why wouldn't u want it to reflect how it is in real life. That's why we need Sim in all sports games.

While you are entitled to your own opinion I would have to disagree. MVP Baseball 2005 set the standards for todays baseball Video games. The owner mode concept was a genius idea that still has not been replicated in any other sports title so far, The hitting and pitching mechanics were years ahead of their competition and still performs better than some of the titles released after that. Not to mention all of the other little features that just had you coming back for more. Yes I do not think it should be worshiped like a God but MVP baseball 2005 is not overrated at all. Like I said Earlier your entitled to your own opinion, just as I am to mine.

MPV2005 is the reason I got back into baseball video games after a very long hiatus.
I'd gladly welcome a return of this franchise.
Like you said, it had elements that are still better than some of the games we see today.

                    umm no...
I agree there should always be one game per sport that is sim, but not all thats just selfish. I like football but I dont love it. I love baseball and while Ill play the show non stop I'll also play fun games like The Bigs. Not everyone is hardcore, every company SCEA included realises that.
Developers strive to have the best of both worlds, and its controlled through the part of every sports game. Theyre called Options.

I don't know why MVP CB I found spectacular, but MVP BB(MLB) so ho-hum.
Gonna dig out College Baseball again and just give it a go for a bit.

Prior to MVP, High Heat Baseball held my attention.

Knight knows all about that game, too.

The way my baseball Gaming goes, I started out with Triple play, Went to high heat for a bit, alternated between high heat 03 and MVP 03, continued with MVP baseball series all the way until MLB 07 the show. I lived off of roster updates for MVP 2005
