I agree with everything KungPao said. I like the cutscenes, especially since they don't kick in if it's a homerun that just barely clears the fence (i.e., one that you actually have a chance of bringing back into the park). If it's a 475 foot homerun, the last thing I want to see is the traditional camera which follows the ball the whole way into the stands, which every other game uses. Some more variety in the cutscenes would also be a good thing.

I also like the question about whether you can see the initial ball trajectory when playing with the pitcher cam. That would be a great way to get a headstart in whatever direction you'll need to go with your fielder. Even if it's a fly ball, it would help to get a start with your OF.

More cutscenes are good and all. But I just wish they had an option to turn them off completely. Like ESPN Hockey. Some people dont like cutscenes. I personally like watching the homeruns from the traditional camera. Especially in this game, because the homeruns have collision detection.

How is the offense in manage mode only? What I mean is that I play manage mode and offense was almost non-existent in this game. I played a seven game series one time with the Yanks vs Cards and I don't think either team scored more than 2 runs. Has this improved?

From reading this thread and the ASB developer's diary, it looks like absolutely everything I want has been added to ASB 2005.

ASB 2004 + Online play + behind the pitcher view + widescreen (on Xbox)
+ more camera options + new player bodies + beefed up graphics
+ use your own music + more gameplay options + more of everything

= SOLD

OK, i've read that if Barry Bonds isnt in the game, you'll have someone in the game with a different name...will this be the same with players like, Kevin Millar, Damian Miller, Rick Reed and Kaz Matsui (since we know he'll be on a roster).
-We've always avoided fictional players...just doesn't seem right. BUT Bonds is so significant that we have to have someone there to represent him. The other guys you mentioned haven't really made a dent in baseball's past, so we won't. BTW-We still could have Bonds in the game, don't know for certain yet.

Will Mussina's "In the stretch" hunch over be in the game?
-yes

Custom walk-up music? Are you kidding me?
-No kidding here. Inside Pitch did it last year as well.

You mentioned no pressure sensitive throws when your pitching, how about fielding?
-If you do a 'future throw' there's a greater chance of an error...but no, we don't have pressure-sensitivity.

Have called strikes on check swings been reworked, so that its not random, but determined by how long you held the swing button?
-the check appeal still happens the same as last year but the call is more dependant on how far you went this time

I'm just wondering if there will be new team graphics on the new jerseys?
-We kept the same logos/color combos as '04

will there be A AA and AAA Minor League players on each team minor league farm system if not all three are in there what minor league levels are there because i would like all of them especully AA
-We have the 3 tiers of A, AA, AAA but the only real players on the teams are ones that played 1 inning of MLB ball last year. You can edit them to change their names/looks/attributes to the real minor leaguers if you desire to do so.

-yes, it was on top of our 'A' list of things to improve in our Franchise Mode.

For my question, in trades, instead of the team you want to trade with saying "This player doesn't fit into our plans at the moment" will they have suggestions instead like "He's not the player we're looking for, we need a player who (description)."?
-I wanted to do this but I don't know if there will be time.

Will the K's feature be back in the stadiums (for every K, somewhere in the ball park the K's signs will be put up)?
-yes. We're tryiong to put them where they actually hang in the real stadiums this time too.

Maybe next year you can have the catcher whip the ball down to third after a strikeout when there's no one on base, too

Is the Bret Boone trademark bat flip in the game?
-yes

is the ratio of GB to FB fixed for 2005? Last year, there were too many Fly balls. Also, last year too many hits were to CF. Has the distribution been fixed to reflect the timing of the hit, whether the batter is right or left handed, etc? Do we have more realistic ball distributions?
