On the screens from teamxbox.com, it shows each minor league level has 10 players. Will you be able to goto the full 25?

Re: Questions for ASB Man
Are my eyes deceiving me? Did someone just trust the IGN review of ASB 2004 enough to come up with some questions?
The first section quoted illustrates the IGN reviewer didn't even understand the easily-discovered concept of 'Future Throw'... press the first-base button just before the fielder grabs the ball to throw to first, for example. There was no pause in the animation playing the game the way it was designed.
If a reviewer couldn't get that right [and a significant percentage of "professional" reviewers (far more than 10) didn't], the whole review should get thrown in the trash.
Another tipoff on the quality of an ASB 2004 baseball review... those who originally referred to "referees" instead of "umpires" [such as, but not limited to, teamxbox.com's] are probably not worthy of quoting and basing questions off of here.

It's amazing the poor quality of baseball reviews every year. I'll continue to argue that this subgenre suffers from more incompetence than any other.Comment

Re: Questions for ASB Man
ASB_Man,
Every other sport game has this feature and I always hope for ASB to get it, but it never seems to happen. But this year will they finally announce your created player's name? For example, if you had to create Kaz Matsui...would they call him "Matsui" when he comes to bat or makes a catch, or would they just call him "the Short Stop"?Comment

Re: Questions for ASB Man
ASBMan and ASBArt
Great job with the answers. Giving early and accurate info for your already great game(ASB2004) goes a long way with customers. Believe me. I think you guys are creating a nice buzz for the 2005 version. I am going to start pointing some players of HH towards this thread. I am sure they will be impressed and excited about the new features. That leads me to my question. I asked about an ESPN style ticker giving scores and stats from other games ala ESPNFootball. You guys answered that it is in this years version, but I have not seen any shots of this in any of the screens out so far. Would it be possible to include a couple in the next batch of screens released? Thanks.

ASB Man
in the past few renditions of asb the expansion mode is what sold it to me. I thinks its awsome, i was just wondering what improvements have been made to better it since the last 2 years were pretty much the same. do we get to name the stadium? or create the uniforms? also what have you guys done to make the expansion teams that we create less "generic" thanks for your timeComment

You replied:
[/b] "you have to admit that that the uniforms look like crap.
-No..but they are improved this year to look better.
at least allow people to pick colors and uniform styles. Is it about money?
-It's about TIME. The game's coming out on a certain date and we have to prioritize. We would have to make each jersey (35 teams, 2 jerseys a piece=70 jerseys including hat, shirt, pants, helmet) 6 different colors. Instead of creating 280 textures it would be 1,680. Not worth it."
It was my understanding that all the uniform models are the same. The colors would be the only thing that would be changed. I don't want to knock your efforts, but if every other game does it, why doesn't baseball? At least make me feel better about the future.Comment
