I know it has been stated where in Franchise mode the only option for the length of season is 162 games. However, my question is does a separate "Season" mode still exist for those who don't want to play a Franchise? I'm pretty sure that in last year's game under the MLB Play section there were options to start a new season, series, or franchise. Is that still the case this year? And if so, is there the option to modify the season length within this "Season" mode? (ie. 30 game season, etc.)

    Thanks,
    Duane

There was no "season" option last year. The three options under MLB Play were "Franchise", "Expansion" and "Series".

I was wondering if the pitching and hitting is still the same? also I was wondering if the fielding is the same as last year ?

            Pitch speed

Everything sounds great for this year's edition of ASB, but I have one question. Is the speed of the pitches going to be slowed down a little this year so you can actually see the break of a curveball and be able to "wait" on a pitch instead of being forced to mash the button as soon as the pitch is released. Batting was like trying to hit a bullet fired from a gun last season. Thanks.

Excellent. I'm sold. That was the No. 1 gripe with the series. Everything else I found stellar.

                              ASB MAN..

I have asked this question at least 20 times in different post.. It has never been directly answered, It has been answered in round about ways. But I would like a straight up answer.. And if it has been answered and I have missed it and please accept my apology.

Once again.. Has the Offense in Manage or CPU vs CPU mode been beefed up where all the scores aren't 2 to 1 games with pitching ERA at 1.50.. Can you get some hits.. Are there some blow outs.

Has the lack of Walks, hits, Low pitchers ERA's been addressed..???

I asked this question several times about MVP on their board.. It never got answered.. Now I know why it was avoided. Because CPU vs. CPU games are pretty much all 2 to 1... Very low offense... Same problem as ASB had last year..

If someone would have answered me, I might not have spent 40 bucks on the game. I am not a thumb jockey, I am a GM type player and just want to Manage, or GM my career league. Just set back and watch all my decisions unfold before my eyes...

I am not interested in Arcade style of play.. ( maybe a few games ) my only purpose for getting this game would be for Manage mode, Gm mode and realistic game play between the CPU vs CPU..and of course realistic stats. That is why I bought an Xbox last year so that I could get ASB.. only to be extremely dissapointed....

As I already have it ordered again, ( Thinking this had to be fixed because ther were so many complaints about it.) If possible, I would really appreciate an answer before I actually pick it up, so I cn just tell them to hold it and possibly exchange it for ESPN or MLB. If it hasn't been addressed.

On the other hand.. I have asked this same question on those boards only to have it passed over several times.

Thanks in advance if you can answer this.
