It's not a flawless game, but it is damn solid and entertaining. Don't overlook it for its art style; instead, embrace it for that reason.

Hey ill let you know as much as I can in a couple days.I just got powerful pros 2012 and pro yakyuu 2012 for PS vita off the Japanese psn store.they seem to be really close to finishing their translation guide for it as well so hopefully that's up soon!but ill try and get some games in and update you.I know nothing about the Japanese language other then the little I have played of pro yakyuu 2011 on ps3.and now 2012 on vital.

How tough is power pros to play if you don't know Japanese?

I have the Vita version of Power Pros, bought it last summer through Play Asia. Most of it is in Japanese however the main menu is English. I went to Spirits Translation, a web page, and there is some guidance there that helped me.

I'm in a season and am having no problems but enjoying the heck out of this game. Game is smooth and plays well.

It is a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. Not sure when this years version is to be released, should be late Spring or so. I'll just hang on to the 2012 version for awhile.

Can some on please help me.I have the vital version of PRo yakyuu 2012
And I can not find action mode in online play.I can only select manager mode.and the screen doesn't look at all like the picture on spirits translation.I want to play online so bad but I'm lost I have been trying for hours lol.I only have the 2 options of manager mode and PlayStation store.any help would be great thanks!

In the main menu, "online" is on the second row from the top, the second column from the right. But it doesn't seem to be activated for me, since I cannot go into the online mode. When I click on it, it just comes back to the main menu. I'm playing on my US PSN account and not on a Japanese account, so that might be the reason as well.... sorry I don't know if you can play online.

I see.... hahaha.... I just read the home page for PYS12 and it seems the Vita version only supports the manage-only mode only... so I think you cannot play a regular game controlling players on Vita online. Unfortunately...

It's as simple as clicking "OK" 3 times to start a game. You can figure out most of the gameplay elements by yourself. If you want to dig deeper and know about special skills and stuff then just follow our guides. Still working on the Power Pro translations - they'll be available real soon. One cool thing about the game (that you can't do in PYS) is editing rosters to English. In the attached image is my pitchers roster...

It was almost as small as in fine print, so it wasn't easily spotted at all. Manage-only mode seems quite popular in Japanese sports titles...

Here's the comparison chart, as you can see technically the Vita has more features than the PS3 version.

You're not missing much with online action play. Most who've tried it have had their rear ends handed to them by hardcore players in Japan. In my experience fielding & throwing the ball was too laggy - even catching a pop fly made me nervous.

If you must play online then IMO Manage Mode would be the best way to go (which the Vita has.)

Just hard to do sense its still not been translated.I would recommend adding that to the spirits site about the vita I googled over and over again trying to find Info as to why I couldn't play.cause I thought it was just something I was doing wrong due to the spirits site not mentioning this.other then that the site has been so helpful and I love it! Thanks for the hard work guys
