Sorry you were let down by the lack of online play. Most people get into PYS for the gameplay (not online) so when I said it plays the same as the PS3 that's mainly what I was referring to.

I haven't even dabbled in the Vita's online play and it's not a simple thing to translate. First off, Muka doesn't even have PYS for the Vita so he can't test or translate it. Second, I believe the online manage mode is tied to Grand Prix (a card trading game where you keep trying to improve your team.) This requires a strong knowledge of all the players in the NPB and a lot more time spent doing translations.

Long story short...in order to translate it Muka would need to play around with it and give it a thumbs up. Then we'd see how much interest there is and how much is involved with translation. I remember last year we were either going to do Grand Prix or Off Season translations, and we went with Off Season. I'm sure that eventually we'll get around to Grand Prix because more players are getting familiar with the NPB players and league.

I was just referring to these statements you guys made In the 2012 menu updates section." * Note this image is from Vita version which has 2 additional online options. There is only one change in the PS3 version so everything should look familiar.

All modes are explained below along with links which will take you to the respective translation pages..." " ONLINE/NETWORK:

      AD HOC (Vita/PSP only)

Online: Play vs human or manage vs human.

COMMUNITY (Vita/PSP only)" I'm not at all disappointed I got the game.and I was not mad about this. I love the gameplay.sometimes I just enjoy playing the game with others online that's all.but I wasn't referring to how you said the game plays.just the statement on the 2012 menus section saying its all the same.I was just suggesting sorry for doing so didn't mean to offend you.ill stay away from the forum area for pys from now on don't want to cause problems.thanks for the help your site provided me though.peace everyone.

        MLB Power Pros 2008 (Wii/PS2)
MLB Bobblehead Pros (Xbox Live Arcade)

Bobblehead Pros has since been removed from the Xbox Live Marketplace, so there's no way to buy it anymore.

I highly recommend getting the PS2/Wii version of 2008 if you want to try out the series. It can be found for $5 or less.

One cool thing about the game (that you can't do in PYS) is editing rosters to English. In the attached image is my pitchers roster...
Thanks, appreciate it. Probably going to order it soon, so hopefully the timing on the translations works out.

You can edit every player on every team and even edit the divisions. So if you want, you can move the Astros to the AL.

Also, after editing the ratings you can see what kind of stats those ratings would put together in a season, which really helps you.

I see what you mean now and I'm not offended. I feel bad that I put up information that wasn't clear which caused you some frustration (that is counter to what we're trying to do.) I updated the menu pages and will make sure we lay out the differences better when future versions are released.

I've owned MLB Power Pros since the day it was released. I've been clamoring for a PS3 release. In fact, I'm one of the only guys on here who has been in the past few years. Funny how I'm now the one being asked to try out the series.

Haha it's okay, you didn't know. Thanks for supplying me that info though. I assumed that was the case, but based on the post I quoted you would think they were talking about a new U.S. release.

Yep, it's a shame that neither 2K Sports nor Konami wanted to bring over MLB Power Pros 2009 to the USA. That was the one that had the World Baseball Classic on it, and it stayed in Japan.

                        Re: PYS12 PSVita

Got MLB 13 The Show for the Vita last night due to the relatively cheap UK PSN price. Curiosity got the better of me.

Have to say that it still looks terrible in comparison to PYS 12 Vita. For whatever reason, cart capacity probably - they have lots more stuff, MLB still runs sub-native and looks more like a PSP title, the ball continues to resemble a beach ball coming off the bat and the crowd is really sub-par.

This post is not intended to bash The Show hence it's in this thread, but more of a shove in the direction of PYS 12 / 13 for any baseball-loving Vita owners still on the fence. 12 should be cheaper to import once 13 hits.

The Show on Vita needs to have an option to shrink the ball to a normal size and remove the FOUL/OUT text displays.

I would like to try PYS on Vita. It really looks nice.

It's practically the same offline game as the PS3 in all departments. A fantastic translation although it's a little trickier on the batting front I find.

Was flicking between PYS and MLB last night. It's like two different consoles. As an aside Everybody's Golf is sub-native also but looks okay, MLB really advertises the fact due to the the smaller size of the things it has to display in comparison, i.e much tinier perfect circles and shorter straight lines. Both are low-res unfriendly at the scale MLB needs to show them.

Ball flight in Power Pro Vita is the first thing that really struck me. You can see the laces and rotation of the ball in flight - it's really a thing of beauty. In PYS it's different but done very well too.
