im using a 1-1 count these days, and the results are pretty good....higher stamina guys are going on average7, sometimes 6 depending on how their performing...the back end of the rotation guys are tiring in the 5th & 6th, which is realistic...so far im happy with it -

Yesterday, I did a little number crunching and figued that most at-bats take between 3-4 pitches, average. With a 1-1 count, you are GUARANTEED at least 3 pitches, which should make pitch counts pretty close. I'm going to try the "Random" option just to see how it works, but if not, I think 1-1 is pretty good. It won't screw up strike ratios, and pitchers should tire out realistically while getting close to life pitch counts.Comment
