    Hitting with the 2D cursor

Is anyone hitting any shots down the line with the 2D cursor?

I think 2D is the way to go. I get walks, K's, Homers and all kind of hits, except hard hit balls down the line. Am I missing something?

I'm more concerned about being able to actually get a base hit. See, I can hit the ball - no problem. It's just the majority of the time, I can't get base hits for my life - let alone stringing together a bunch of base hits.

The 2D cursor seems to produce too many lazy fly balls and harmless grounders.. even for pitches I really feel I've lined up the cursor enough to hit it hard somewhere. It's difficult to produce more than 6 or 7 hits a game, and that's on the high side.

I wasn't able to pull any line drives down either of the lines, but hard ground balls, yes.

The 3-D cursor is really the most balanced, but I don't like having to aim the cursor in order to hit it anywhere other than the middle infield or CF.

So what do you use, Snake? 3D without aiming?

Yeah, this is what frustrates me. Most of the time, I know if I am early, late, under the ball, over it or whatever. But there are those times where it seems I time things perfectly and get the cursor right on the ball and it turns into a dribbler. It is baffling.

I love the baseball feel of this game. Stadiums are incredible and I love the pace with the generated pitch counts. But man, what I would give to incorporate the 2D Cursor hitting system I enjoyed with WSB2K3 last year. While I am at it, I wouldn't mind bringing the fielding system of 2K3 to ASB as well.

I Know what you guys mean about the 2d cursor. I played with it exclusively in 2004, but here I am tired of hitting the ball square and popping it up or dribbling it. This ain't NBA2k5. Anyway, I have went to zone batting, legend diffuculty, fast pitch and getting much better results as far as HR and K's
