Unfortunately, I never got around to it. Didn't have time. Still want to do it sometime though. For a lack of a better phrase, watching MLB the Show pitcher's from the broadcast camera is unfortunately an eye sore.

Honestly, all of their pitchers' mechanics are still off. Just look at the MLB 17 Gifs below. Pitching a baseball above 90 mph (or even someone who throws a baseball with all his force) is a very violent body action, and unfortunately, that is not captured in any of the MLB 17's pitchers.

Take notice of the pitcher's release. Look at the arms violent motion. The entire body during the pitch and after the pitch. MLB the Show is missing the proper mechanics of pitching a baseball. Look at the follow through of the arms and the entire body.

    Spoiler
baffles me, they don't motion capture them from year to year, definitely not violent enough. After all these years too.

It seems more of a possibility of PYS 17 coming out. I do hope there is some truth to the rumors, etc, and due to the WBC its a later release. I just don't see how Konami could potentially can the whole series itself and not at least try with the new consoles. Especially, the last PYS on PS3 had some face scans. They could produce a really good baseball game on PS4.

On the other hand, I know this is not the forum for the Show, but, the Show 17 is an excellent game IMO. Yes, it does have some flaws like some mentioned in previous posts, but so does PYS. They are totally different games itself, but nonetheless, if PSY 17 releases it could be an amazing year for baseball videogames, especially for those whom have played PYS.

Yes I agree MLB The Show is Amazing this year. Also I read an article whenever PYS first did the facescans and it said that they are gonna look great on the next gen consoles.

The Show is hard to play after PYS. PYS is so much better with the controls and mechanics.

I did some research and the very first year the Xbox 360 was out PYS was on it. The very first year the PS3 was out PYS was on it. The very first year the PS Vita was out PYS was on it so they've always been switching to new consoles the first year. I still believe that we will see it tho.

If PYS comes out on Nintendo Switch I might buy one just for it.

the reason Konami decided not to bring PYS to PS4 the first two years was the Japanese held on to the PS3 longer then we did sense the PS4 library was weak back then.

The switch looks cool i would buy it also for PYS and Zelda.

It's difficult going back to the Show when a game of PYS's magnitude completely changes the way you see sports video game. The moment I got a taste of PYS, my itch to play MLB the Show 16 or any prior iteration completely ceased despite being a massive major league baseball fan. Even today, when I see any PYS footage, I have to do quadruple takes knowing full well that it's just a video game but it still looks and sounds exactly like what I would see on tv. And that's when the product has done the sport justice.

I still can't believe the following gif is a video game. I no longer get the same reaction seeing the other game. Maybe one day I can see Major League baseball truly captured in video game format, but it's not going to be today. MLB09 got me to buy a PS3 when I thought The Show as the only game in town but PYS is why I will always have a PS3. PYS is the gaming franchise I can't live without.

Yeah. On the show when you are in a slump you feel as if the CPU is forcing you to get in a slump.

On PYS you know exactly why you are not getting a hit.

                  Same thing with pitching.

Well the Japanese held on to the PS2 longer but they still made the PS3 game right away.

The last PS2 server closed down last year.

NPB is now a few weeks into the season.
Anybody been able to find any promising news/rumor on a possible PYS2017?
I've done some searching but can't seem to find anything.
