    OOTP

I am just wondering if anyone else there enjoys Out of The Park Baseball 6. I personally think its the most realistic thing out there, even if it is text based. 40 Man rosters, Waivers, Rule 5 Draft, etc. etc.
Me and my friends have our own league that we sim, and it's great. I just don't see that many people mention it around here. Anyone else play it?

I used to. I loved 4 and 5 but I was quite disappointed with 6.

Really? I have five and six and I havn't noticed much difference except for the fact that a 1-2/0-2 count isn't alwaysn a stikeout like it seemed in OOTP 5.

There are tons of issues with OOTP6, I won't bother going through all of them. You can easily find out about them at www.ootpdevelopments.com ... anyway, one of the things that bothers me greatly about is player development isn't implemented properly. I know for a fact it's buggy and the isn't well-thought-out.

I also found myself playing less of OOTP6 compared to 4 and 5.

I'm also anxiously awaiting the new version that should be released sometime in the Fall of 2005. Markus has planned a lot for the game and with the backing of Sports Interactive, it should be a great game.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

It's supposed to be Fall 2005. Where the hell are you getting spring 2008 from?
